Disabling
key
codes
Ifakeyislost,thekeycodescanbedisabled
byanauthorizedPorschedealer.
Alltheremainingcarkeysarerequiredforthis
purpose.
Disablingthecodeensuresthatthecarcanbe
startedonlyusingauthorizedkeys.
Note
Pleasenotethattheotherlockscanstillbeop-
enedwiththedisabledkey.
Immobilizer
Thereisatransponder(anelectroniccompo-
nent)inthekeygrip,containingastoredcode.
Whentheignitionisswitchedon,theignition
lockchecksthecode.
Theimmobilizercanbedeactivatedandtheen-
ginestartedonlyusinganauthorizedignition
key.
Note
Iftheignitionisleftonformorethantwo
minuteswithoutstartingtheengine,theimmobi-
lizerisreactivated.
I>Ifthishappens,theignitionkeymustbe
turnedbacktothe"0"positionbeforetheen-
ginecanbestarted.
Theimmobilizerisautomaticallyactivatedwhen
theignitionkeyiswithdrawn.

Ifwheelshavetoberemovedduringaworkshop
visit,donotforgettohandoverthesocketfor
