Engineisatoperatingtemperature,ignitionis
off,refuellingiscompletedwithin15minutes.
Failure
Afailureoftheoilleveldisplayisindicatedbya
warningmessageintheon-boardcomputer.

Generalinformationregardingthe
on-boardcomputerfunctions
Rangeonremainingfuel
Therangeonremainingfueliscontinuously
recomputedwhiledrivingbasedonfuellevel,
currentconsumptionandaverageconsumption.
Themorethefuellevelfalls,themoresponta-
neouslythedisplayreacts.Forthisreason,
rangeonremainingfuelisnotdisplayedifless
than15kilometres(9miles).
Ifthevehicle'sinclinationchangeswhiledriving
orrefuelling,incorrectrangeinformationmay
temporarilybegiven.
Note
Ifthetankisnearlyemptyandyouaddonlya
smallquantityoffuel,thiscannotbeusedto
calculatetherangeonremainingfuel.

Averageconsumptionandaveragespeed

Thedisplayedvaluesarebasedonthedistance
travelledsincethelastresetto"zero".
Youcansetthestartingtimeforameasurement
beforeorduringthetrip.
Switchingtheignitionoffdoesnotresetthe
measurements.Valuescanthusbecollected
overlongperiods.
Disconnectingthecarbatteryclearsthese
memories.
Outside
temperature
The
outsidetemperaturedisplaydoesnotindi-
cate,ificeisontheroad.
Evenifatemperatureabove32°F(O°C)isdis-
played,icemaystillformontheroad,forin-
stanceonbridgesorwhentheroadpasses
throughaheavilyshadedarea.

4.Donotaddfurtherfueloncethecorrectly
operatedautomaticfuel-hosenozzlehas
switchedoff.
Fuelcouldsprayorcouldrunoverinwarm
temperatures.
5.Replacethetankcapimmediatelyafter
refuellingandturnituntilyouhearitandfeel
itengage.

Ifyoulosethetankcap,youmustreplace
itonlywithanoriginalparttoreducethe
possibilityofafireintheeventofacolli-
sion.

mendstheuseofthesefuelsinyourvehicle.
Porschealsorecognizesthatthesefuelsmay
notalwaysbeavailable.Beassuredthatyour
vehiclewilloperateproperlyonunleadedpre-
miumfuelswithoctanenumbersofatleast
95RON(90CLCorAKI).sincetheengine's
"ElectronicOktaneTMknockcontrol"willadapt
theignitiontiming,ifnecessary.

Theuseof
UNLEADEDFUELONLY
iscriti-
callyimportanttothelifeofthecatalytic
converters.Depositsfromleadedfuelswill
ruintheconvertersandmakeitineffective
asanemissioncontroldevice.

Carswithcatalyticconvertershaveasmaller
fueltankopening,andgasstationpumpshave
smallernozzles.Thiswillpreventaccidental
pumpingofleadedfuelintocarswithcatalytic
converters.
