1.Applythehandbrake.
2.Switchthewipersoff(position0)andremovetheignitionkey.
3.Foldwindshieldwiperarmawayfromthewindshield.
4.Presstogethertheplasticspringofthewiperblade(rightarrow).Pullwiperbladeoutofwiperarm.
5.Insertnewwiperbladeuntilyoufeelitengage.Ensurethatthenewwiperbladeisinsertedintothewiperarminthesameposition:

6.Carefullyfoldwiperarmbackontothewind-shield.

4.Presstogethertheplasticspringofthewiperbladeandengageitinthewiperarmuntilitsnapsintoplace.
5.Carefullyfoldwiperarmbackontothewindow.

Onlyifthereisheavydirt,wettheconvertibletopwithlukewarmwaterandthePorscheWash-Shampoo&convertible-topcleaner,usingaspongeorsoftbrush,andrubgently.RinseWash-Shampoo&convertible-topcleanerthoroughlyofftheconvertibletopwithcleanwater.
Afterwashingit,treattheconvertible-topcoveratleastonceayearwiththespecialPorscheconvertible-topcareproduct.Donotallowtheconvertible-topcareproducttocomeintocontactwithpaintorwindows.Ifitdoes,removeimmediately.
Ifthereisleakageintheconvertible-topcoveroratitsseamsorfolds,thespecialPorscheconvertible-topcareproductcanbeused.
Pleasenotetheinformationonthecontainer.
Removebirddroppingsimmediatelysincetheacidinthemwillmaketherubberswellandtheconvertibletopwillbecomeleaky.
Openconvertibletoponlywhenitiscompletelydry,otherwisedampstainsandscrubmarksmayoccurwhichcannotberemoved.
Trytoremovespotsfromtheconvertible-topcoverbyrubbingcarefullywithasoftrubbersponge.
Doorlock
Topreventthedoorlockfromfreezingduringthecoldseason,thelockcylindershouldbecoveredduringawash.
Shouldthelockfreeze,useanordinaryde-icer.Inmanycases,awellwarmedkeycanhelp.Neveruseexcessiveforce.
Paint
Generalinformation
Neverrubadustycarwithadryclothsincedustparticlesareabrasiveandcoulddullanddamagethesurfacefinish.
Thepaintworkofyourcarisexposedtoalltypesofmechanicalandchemicalconditions,particularlyclimaticonessuchasbrightsunlight,rain,frostandsnow.Ultravioletlight,rapidchangesintemperature,rain,snow,industrialdustandchemicaldepositsconstantlyattackthepaintwhichisonlyabletowithstandsuchexposureinthelongtermifitisgivenregularcareandattention.
Donotapplysiliconepolishestothewind-shield,windowsorconvertibletop.
Donottreatmatt-paintedcomponentswithpreservativesorpolishesasthiswillspoilthematteeffect.
Preservation
Thepaintsurfacebecomesdullovertimeduetoweathering.Itisthereforenecessarytopreservethepaintregularly.Thiskeepsthepaintshinyandelastic.Dirtispreventedfromadheringtothepaintsurfaceandindustrialdustispreventedfrompenetratingthepaint.
Provideditiswashedandtreatedwithpreservativeregularly,thebrandnewfinishofyourcarwillberetainedforyearstocome.

Usetireswith“ZR”qualitystandards.Therearecurrentlynostandardsconcerningtirestrengthatspeedsabove150mph(240km/h).
Tiresshouldbereplacednolessthanononeaxleatthetime.Onlytiresofthesamemakeandtypemustbeused.Mixedtiresarenotpermissible.
Initially,newtiresdonothavetheirfulltraction.Youshouldthereforedriveatmoderatespeedsduringthefirst60-120miles(100-200km).
Ifnewtiresareinstalledonlyononeaxle,anoticeablechangeinhandlingoccursduetothedifferenttreaddepthoftheothertires.Thishappensespeciallyifonlyreartiresarereplaced.However,thisconditiondisappearsasthenewtiresarebrokenin.
