Ifyoumustdriveoveracurborotherobstacle,driveslowlyandatanobtuseangle.Exercisecarewhenparkingalongcurbs.
Wheelalignment,wheelbalancing
Asaprecaution,havewheelswithsummertiresbalancedinthespring,andthosewithmudandsnowtiresbeforewinter.Unbalancedwheelsmayaffectcarhandlingandtirelife.Onlythespecifiedweightsmaybeusedforwheelbalancing.Self-adhesiveweightsmustnotcomeintocontactwithcleaningagents,sincetheycoulddropoff.Uneventreadwearindicateswheelimbalance.Inthisevent,thevehicleshouldbecheckedatanauthorizedPorschedealer.
Warning!
If,duringatrip,unevenrunningorvibrationsoccurthatcouldbecausedbydamagetotiresorthecar,thespeedmustbereducedimmediately,butwithoutbrakingsharply.Ifyoucontinueyourtripwithouthavingthecauseofthefaultremedied,youmightlosecontrolofyourvehiclewhichcouldcauseseriouspersonalinjuryordeath.
Stopthevehicleandcheckthetires.
Ifnocauseforthefaultcanbefound,drivecarefullytothenearestauthorizedPorschedealer.
Removingandstoringtires
Afterchanging,adjusttirepressureandtorquewheelboltsdiagonallyto94ft.lb.(130Nm).
Tiresmustalwaysremainonthesamesideofthevehicle.Whenwheelsareremoved,thedirectionofrotationandpositionofeachwheelshouldbemarked.

FR(frontright),FL,RRandRL.
Wheelsmustalwaysbefittedinaccordancewiththeirmarking.
Theperceptionthattiredurabilityandperformanceareimmunetotheeffectsofstorageandageisunfounded.Chemicaladditives,whichmaketherubberelastic,losetheireffectivenessinthecourseoftimeandtherubberbecomesbrittleandcracks.
Therefore,thetiresshouldbeinspectedfromtimetotime.

ApplyathincoatofOptimolyTA(aluminumpaste)onthethreadandbetweentheboltheadandmovablesphericalcapring(arrows).Thebearingsurfaceofthesphericalcapfacingthewheelmustnotbegreased.
Replacedamagedwheelbolts.OnlyusetheOriginalPorschewheelboltsspeciallydesignedforthisvehicletype.
Tighteningtorque
Tighteningtorqueofwheelboltsandwheelnuts:130Nm/96ftlb.
WheelSecuringBolts
Ifthewheelshavetoberemovedattheworkshop,pleasedonotforgettohandoverthewrenchsocketforthewheelsecuringboltsalongwiththecarkey.
Thewrenchsocketforthewheelsecuringboltsisinthetoolbox.
Toloosenortightenthewheelboltwithanti-theftprotection,awrenchsocketwiththeappropriatecodingmustbeusedbetweenthewheelboltandthewheel-boltspanner.
Whenpositioningthewrenchsocket,ensurethatitengagesfullyintheteethofthewheelbolt.
Noteonoperation
Onvehicleswith17mmspacersontherearaxle,thewheelsaresecuredwithwheelnuts.
Onrequest,separateanti-theftprotectionforthewheelnutscanbemounted.PleaseconsultanauthorizedPorschedealer.

Donotpresstoohardorforcethevalvestemsideways,orairwillescape.Ifthesoundofairescapingfromthetireisheard,repositionthepressuregauge.
3.Readthetirepressureonthegaugestemandcompareittothepermissibletirepressure.ThisinformationcanbefoundonthetirepressureplateintheleftdoorapertureorinthechapterTechnicalData.
