Porsche brakes are widely
renowned for their stability, per­
formance and stopping power.
They are designed to cope with
extreme forces and of fer an
appropriately high level of safet y.
The brakes on the 911 Carrera GTS
models are equipped with red four ­
piston aluminium monobloc fixed
calipers. This makes them tough
You aren’t usually stopped so easily.
but light weight and enables a
rapid response and release of
the brake. The pedal travel is
short and easy to control.
The brake discs have a diame­
ter of 330 mm front and rear –
for formidable braking perform ­
ance. Their cross ­drilled design
improves behaviour in wet
conditions. The discs are also
internally vented for bet ter
heat dispersal. Other features
include a powerful nine ­inch vac­
uum brake booster for reduc ­
ing pedal effort, and integral
air spoilers for enhanced air
flow in the brake cooling ducts.
