Makeabsolutelysurethatnobodycanbeinjuredbytheconvertible-topmechanismortheconvertible-topcompartmentlid.
Donotoperateconvertibletop:
–Attemperaturesbelow32°F/0°C.
–Whenonesideofthecarisonacurb,ahoistorajack.
–Whenitemsofluggageorotherobjectshindertheconvertibletopmovementorareinabrasivecontactwiththeconvertibletoporrearwindow.Itemsofluggageorobjectsontheluggagetrayabovetheenginecompartmentlidmustbeputinthestorage
boxorbesecuredtopreventtheirslidingout.Keepshuttersofthestorageboxclosedwhiledriving.
Driveonlywiththeconvertibletopfullyopenorclosed.
Avoidfrequentoperationoftheconvertibletopwiththeengineoff;thevehiclebatterywouldbeunintentionallydischargedrapidly.
Whenopeningorclosingtheconvertibletop,ensurethereissufficientclearanceabovetheconvertibletop(e.g.inthegarage).
Topreventdampstainsandabrasions,onlyopentheconvertibletopinadry,cleanstate.
Parkyourcarintheshadewheneverpossible,asthefabric,rubbermaterialandcolorcanbeharmedbylongexposuretosunlight.
Theconvertibletopmayonlybeactuatedduringdrivingonevensurfaces.
Theconvertibletopmustnotbeusedwithstrongcounterwind(overapprox.50mph/80km/h).

2.Onbothsidesofthecar,uncliptheblackrodcoverAandpullitupandout.
3.TakeleverBoutofthetoolkit.

Thepositionandaccessibilityofthejointrodschangedependingonthepositionoftheconverti-bletop.Itcanbehelpfultofolduptherearpartoftheconvertibletop.
4.LeverjointrodD(blackfastening)offtheballheadwithbladeofleverB.Astheconnectionisunderspringtension,acorrespondingamountofforceisrequiredtoleverofftheballhead,creatingdangerofcrushingandpinching.
5.WhenleveringoffjointrodDontheothersideofthevehicle,theconvertible-topcompartmentcovermustbeheldsothatitdoesnotfalldowninanuncontrolledmannertoprotectagainstinjuryfromafallencover.
6.Graspconvertible-topcompartmentcoverinthecenterandsetupcompletely(arrow).
7.LeverjointrodE(whitefastening)offtheballheadwithbladeofleverB.Acorrespondingamountofforceisrequiredtoleverofftheballhead,creatingdangerofcrushingandpinching.
8.WhenleveringoffjointrodEontheothersideofthevehicle,theconvertibletopmustbeheldsothatitdoesnotfalldowninanuncontrolledmannertoprotectagainstinjuryfromafallencover.
9.Liftconvertibletopwithbothhands(arrow)andclose.
10.Lockconvertibletop.
11.Carefullylowerconvertible-topcompartmentcover.

Dangerofdamageattheconvertibletop.
Afteremergencyoperation,donotoperatetheconvertibletopwiththerockerswitch.

Generalinformationtothewindstop
Makesurethatallwindstoppartsarefastenedsecurely,especiallywhendrivingwiththeconvertibletopopen.
Note
Whentheconvertibletopisclosed,itisagoodideatoremovethecentersectionofthewindstoptopermitgoodventilationoftheinteriororfordemistingtherearwindow.Thisisparticularlythecaseincold,wetweather.
Removingouterwindstopparts
Presswindstoppartstotherearandupoutoftheroll-overbarandtakeitout.
Installingouterwindstopparts
Firstinsertthewindstoppartsintheroll-overbarfromtherear,thenpushitupintothebar.
MakesurethatthethreeplastictonguesAfullyengageintheroll-overbar.
Removingcentralsectionofwindstop

PressreleasebuttonsBandtakeoutthewindstoptowardtherear.
Installingcentersectionofwindstop
FirstinsertthewindstopinreceiverCfromtherear,then,oneaftertheother,pressforwarduntilbothuppermountsBengageaudibly.
