UseonlychildrestraintsystemswiththeLATCH-systemrecommendedbyPorsche.ThesesystemshavebeentestedandadjustedtotheinteriorofyourPorscheandtheappropriatechildagegroups.Othersystemshavenotbeentestedandcouldentailanincreasedriskofinjuryordeath.
YoucanobtainchildseatsthatareLATCHcompati-bleatyourauthorizedPorschedealer.
Alwaysobservetheseparateinstallationinstructionsforyourchildseat.
Theuseofinfantorchildrestraintsisrequiredbylawinall50statesoftheU.S.andallCanadianprovinces.ThechildrestraintsystemshouldbeonethatcomplieswithU.S.Federal/CanadianMotorVehicleSafetyStandardsandshouldbesecuredbyalapbeltorlapbeltportionofalap-shoulderbeltorforchildseatsequippedwiththeLATCHsytem(LowerAnchorageandTetherforChildren,alsoknownasISOFIX)totheLATCHanchorages.Astatementbytheseatmanufacturerofcompliancewiththisstandardcanbefoundontheinstructionlabelontherestraintandintheinstructionmanualprovidedwiththerestraint.

Activatingtheautomaticlockingretractor
1.Ifachildrestraintsystemmustbefastenedtothepassenger’sseat,adjustthepassenger’sseatasfarawayfromtheairbagaspossible.
2.Fastenchildseat.
3.Pullthesafetybeltretractorcompletelyout.Atthispointthelockingmechanismisactivated.
4.Insertthesafetybelttongueintothebuckleandmakecertainthatitisproperlylatched.Makenomoreadjustmentstotheseat.
5.Allowthesafetybelttoretractuntilitistightonthechildrestraintsystem.Youmayfurthertightenthebeltbypullingonittoallowmoreofittoretract.Makesurethatexcessiveseatbeltforcesdonotoccurbymovingtheseatwiththechildseatinstalled.
Releasingthesafetybelt
1.Unbucklethesafetybeltlatch.
2.Thenmakecertainthatthebelthasfullyretracted.Atthispointtheautomaticlockingfeaturewillbedisengaged.SeekappropriateadvicefromyourauthorizedPorschedealeraboutthepossibleinstallationofaPorschechildrestraintsystem.
