CHRONOStopwatch
Function
Youcanusethestopwatchtomeasuretimeintervals,e.g.ontheracecircuitoronwork-relatedjourneys.MeasuredlaptimescanbestoredandevaluatedifthevehicleisequippedwithPorscheCommunicationManagement(PCM).
Pleaseobservethechapter“Sportdisplay”intheseparatePCMoperatinginstructions.
Stopwatchontheinstrumentpanel
Thestopwatchhasananalogueandadigitaldisplay.Thelargepointeroftheanaloguedisplay
measurestheseconds.Thetwosmallpointersmeasurehoursandminutes.Thedisplayre-startsatzeroafter12hours.Secondsandincrementsof1/100thofasecondcanbereadonthedigitaldisplay.Thedigitaldisplayandthedisplayintheon-boardcomputercanindicateupto99hoursand59minutes.
Thestopwatchcanbeswivelledbothtotheleftandtotheright.
Stopwatchdisplays:
–onthestopwatchontheinstrumentpanel,
–intheon-boardcomputermenuCHRONO,
–ontheperformancedisplayinthePCM.
Starting/stoppingstopwatch

Noteonoperation
WhenyouleavetheCHRONOmenuwhilethestopwatchisrunning,measurementwillcontinue.
Thestopwatchstopsaftertheignitionisswitchedoff.Iftheignitionisswitchedonagainwithinapprox.4minutes,thestopwatchwillcontinuetorun.
Theonlywaytoresetthestopwatchtozeroisbyselecting“Reset”intheCHRONOmenu.

Severalintermediatetimescanbedisplayedforarouteorforalapontheracecircuit.Theinterme-diatetimesBareforyourinformation.MeasuredlaptimesAcanbestoredandevaluatedifthevehicleisequippedwithPorscheCommunicationManagement(PCM).
Todisplayanintermediatetime:
Aftertiminghasbeenstarted,theon-boardcompu-terdisplaychangestothe“Stoptiming/Intermedi-atetime”selection.
Select“Intermediatetime”withtheoperatingleverandpushtheoperatingleverforwards.

TheTirePressureMonitoringcontinuouslymoni-torstirepressureandtiretemperatureonallfourwheelsandwarnsthedriverwhenthetirepressureistoolow.
ThedisplayaswellasthesettingsfortheTirePressureMonitoringtakeplaceontheon-boardcomputer.However,youmuststilladjustthetirepressureonthewheel.
Thedriverisresponsibleforfillingthetirescorrectlyandmakingthecorrectsettingsontheon-boardcomputer.
TheTirePressureMonitoringoffersthefollowingfunctions:
–Displayoftheactualtirepressurewhilethevehicleisinmotion
–Displayofthedeviationfromtherequiredpressure(refillingpressure)
–Displayofcurrentlysettiresizeandtype
–Tirepressurewarningsintwostages
Caution!
DespitetheadvantagesofferedbytheTirePressureMonitoring,itisstillthedriver’sresponsibilitytoupdatethecorrespondingsettingsintheon-boardcomputerandmaintainthepressureinthetires.Lowtirepressurereducestheroadsafetyofthevehicleanddestroysthetireandwheel.
Whenaflattirehasbeendisplayed,immediate-lystopinasuitableplaceandcheckthetiresfordamage.Ifnecessary,remedythedamagewithatiresealant.
Donotbyanymeanscontinuetodrivewithdefectivetires.
Sealingthetirewithtiresealantisonlyanemergencyrepair,soyoucandrivetothenextauthorizedPorschedealer.Themaximumpermittedspeedis50mph(80km/h).
Donotdrivewithtireswhosetirepressuredropsagaininashortperiodoftime.Incasesofdoubt,havetirescheckedbyanauthorizedPorschedealer.
DamagedtiresmustbeimmediatelyreplacedbyanauthorizedPorschedealer.Tirerepairsarenotpermissibleunderanycircumstances.
IftheTirePressureMonitoringisdefective(e.g.defectivewheeltransmitter),contactanauthorizedPorschedealerimmediatelyandhavethedamagerepaired.ThetirepressurewillnotbemonitoredbyadefectiveTirePressureMonitoring.
Tiresloseairovertimewithoutatiredefectbeingpresent.Atirepressurewarningwillthenappearintheon-boardcomputerdisplay.Correctthetirepressureatthenextopportunity.
TheTirePressureMonitoringgivesawarningabouttiredamageduetonaturalpressurelossaswellasaboutagraduallossofpressureduetoforeignobjects.TheTirePressureMonitoringcannotwarnyouabouttiredamagethatoccurssuddenly(e.g.flattireduetoabruptexternaleffects).
