PCM with navigation module
and CD/DVD autochanger
The central information and
communication system with a 7-inch
W VGA TFT colour touchscreen is
easy to operate. The radio has an
FM dual tuner frequency diversit y
with RDS. The CD/ DVD drive
plays CDs and audio DVDs and is MP3-compatible. Audio playback

of video DVDs is also supported.
The GPS navigation system has
a hard drive containing map data
for most European countries.
Other features include dynamic
route calculation, a 3D map display
and automatic route recording.
Universal audio interface
For vehicles with PCM, the centre
console storage compartment will
contain two connections: an AUX
interface for connecting an external
audio source, and a USB port
enabling you to connect a USB
memory stick containing MP3
tracks, an MP3 player, an iPod®
PCM with navigation module and CD/ DVD autochanger
or an iPhone®. The USB stick, iPod®
or iPhone
® can be operated conve -
niently via PCM, the multifunction
steering wheel or the voice control
system.
For vehicles with the CDR-31 audio
system, the centre console storage
compartment will contain an AUX interface for connecting a com
-
patible audio source. The volume
is adjusted using the controls on
the CDR-31 audio system, other
functions are operated using the
controls on the external audio
source itself.

gers.

Electronic logbook1
The optional electronic logbook
enables automatic recording of
mileage, route distance, date
and time, starting point and desti -
nation as part of every journey.
Once you have downloaded the
logbooks from the PCM via
Bluetooth® or the optional USB
interface, the data can be
evaluated on your home PC using
the software supplied.
Mobile phone preparation1
To enable a Bluetooth® connec-
tion for those mobile phones
that only support the Handsfree
Profile (HFP)2, an optional hands-
free facilit y is available. With HFP,
the PCM acts merely as a hands-
free system and can be used to
control only the basic functions
of the phone. The GSM connec -
tion is established through the
aerial of the mobile phone.

Telephone module1
The optional quadband GSM tele -
phone module offers convenience
and excellent reception. By inser -
ting a SIM card directly into the
PCM’s integral SIM card reader,
calls can be made using either
the hands-free facilit y or the
optionally available cordless
handset. Alternatively, calls can
be made using the Bluetooth
®
capability of your mobile phone.
