WARNING!
An improperly latched seat could cause serious in-
jury or death. Make sure that the seatback is securely
locked into position. If the seatback in not securely
locked into position the seat will not provide the
proper stability for child seats and/or passengers.
Head Restraints
Head restraints are designed to reduce the risk of injury
by restricting head movement in the event of a rear
impact. Head restraints should be adjusted so that the top
of the head restraint is located above the top of your ear.
WARNING!
The head restraints for all occupants must be prop-
erly installed and adjusted prior to operating the

vehicle or occupying a seat. Head restraints should
never be adjusted while the vehicle is in motion.
Driving a vehicle with the head restraints improperly
adjusted or removed could cause serious injury or
death in the event of a collision.
Front Head Restraints
To raise the head restraint, pull upward on the head
restraint. To lower the head restraint, push the adjust-
ment button located on the base of the head restraint and
push downward on the head restraint.
To remove the head restraint, raise it up as far as it can go
then push the adjustment button and the release button
at the base of each post while pulling the head restraint
up. To reinstall the head restraint, put the head restraint
posts into the holes then adjust it to the appropriate
height.

Rear Head Restraints
The rear seats are equipped with adjustable and remov-
able head restraints. To raise the head restraint, pull
upward on the head restraint. To lower the head restraint,
push the adjustment button located on the base of the
head restraint and push downward on the head restraint.
To remove the head restraint, push the adjustment button
and the release button while pulling upward on the
whole assembly. To reinstall the head restraint, put the
head restraint posts into the holes and adjust it to the
appropriate height.
NOTE:To remove outboard restraints, the rear seat
bottom must be folded up.
WARNING!
A loose head restraint thrown forward in a collision
or hard stop could cause serious injury or death to
occupants of the vehicle. Always securely stow re-
moved head restraints in a location outside the occu-
pant compartment.

Air Suspension Payload Protection Telltale
This telltale will turn on to indicate that the maximum payload may have been exceeded or
load leveling cannot be achieved at its current ride height. Protection Mode will automati-
cally be selected in order to “protect” the air suspension system, air suspension adjustment
is limited due to payload.

This light will illuminate when TOW HAUL mode is selected.

Recommended Distribution Hitch Adjustment
Towing With 1500 Air Suspension
1. Set air suspension to normal ride height. No action isrequired if already in normal ride height.
NOTE: The vehicle must remain in the engine running
position while attaching a trailer for proper leveling of
the air suspension system.
2. Position the truck to be ready to connect to the trailer (do not connect the trailer).
3. Under radio suspension settings, turn on jack mode. Jack mode will be canceled and procedure must be
restarted if the vehicle is driven at speeds above 5mph
(8kph).
4. Measure the height of the top of the front wheel opening on the fender to ground, this is height H1.
