aDisconnect the connector (3) from the blower unit
control unit on the left-hand side.
aRemove:
-the blower unit control unit bolts (4) ,
-the blower unit control unit.aDisconnect the connector (5) from the blower unit
control unit on the right-hand side.
aMove the electrical wiring (6) away from the fan as-

aFit the fan assembly control unit electrical wiring.
aConnect the blower unit control unit connector.
aRefit:

II - FINAL OPERATION.
aConnect the hazard warning lights switch connector.
aClip on the "trim - air vent" assembly.
aRefit the instrument panel (see Instrument panel:

aRefit the passenger's front airbag (see Passenger's
frontal airbag: Removal - Refitting) (MR 411, 88C,
Airbags and seat belt pretensioners).
aClip on the upper storage compartment on the driv-
er’s side.
aConnect the battery (see ) (MR 411, 80A, Battery).
aUnlock the airbag computer using the Diagnostic
tool (see Fault finding - Replacement of compo-
nents) (MR 413, 88C, Airbags and pretensioners).

the dashboard (2) .
aRemove:

aConnect the connectors to the lower trim on the
dashboard.
aClip on:
-the dashboard lower trim,
-the fuse access flap.
aRefit the dashboard lower trim (see Centre front
panel: Removal - Refitting) (MR 412, 57A, Interior
equipment).
aClip the glovebox in position.
aRefit the radio (see Radio: Removal - Refitting)
(MR 411, 86A, Radio).
aRefit the centre console (see Centre console: Re-
moval - Refitting) (MR 412, 57A, Interior equip-
ment).
aCheck that the air mixing function is operating cor-
rectly.
