. The windscreen wiper blades are supplied as
st
andar
d with a l ayer of gr
aphit
e. This layer is
responsible for ensuring that the wipe is silent.
If the graphite layer is damaged, the noise of the water as it is wiped across the windscreen
will be louder.
Check the condition of the wiper blades reg-
ul
arly. If the wipers scrape across the
glass, they should be changed if they are
damaged, or cleaned if they are dirty

battery. Do not connect it to a point near
the battery A .

moving parts in the engine compart-
ment.
Starting Start the engine of the vehicle with the
boosting battery and let it run at idling
speed.
Start the engine of the vehicle with the
flat battery and wait for 2 or 3 minutes
until the engine is running.
Removing the jump leads Before you remove the jump leads,
switch off the dipped beam headlights if
they are switched on.
Turn on the heater blower and heated
rear window in the vehicle with the flat
battery. This helps minimise voltage
peaks which are generated when the
leads are disconnected.
When the engine is running, disconnect
the leads in reverse order to the details
given above.

Make sure the battery clamps have sufficient
metal-to-metal cont
act with the battery ter-
minals.
If the engine fails to start after about 10 sec-
onds, switch off the starter and try again after
about 1 minute. WARNING

Opening and closing
For the automatic lowering function: pull
the butt on f
or the corr esponding windo

ards until it reaches the second position.
Stop automatic movement: push or pull on
the button of the corresponding window.
Resetting one-touch opening and closing
The one-touch opening and closing function
is not active after the vehicle battery has
been disconnected or is flat and will have to
be reset.
