Pre-tune keys 1-6
Select the FM1 or FM2 or RDS 1 or 2 tuning range.
•Tuning into a station:
When the frequency tuned for a particular range, for instance: 1, is
alreadyregistered in a pre-tuning key, the relevantnumber for that
pre-tune keywillbe displaye
d on the screen.
•Storing a pre-tuned station in memory:
Press the keywhere you wish to register that station untilyou hear
the confirmation signal.
•Call up of a memorized programme:
Brieflypress the releva
ntpre-tune key.
Memorycontentsisnotlost even if the setisremoved from the
mains.

Switching to traffic announcements
When TP (TrafficProgramme) isdisplayed on screen the setis
readyto receive trafficconditionsannouncementsin any operation
mode.
Switching on the TP
Brieflypress the TP key. "TP" willbe displayed on screen. If the
statio
n tuned doesn’tprovide thisservice the setwillsearch
automaticallyfor the next available station.
The trafficannouncements are played back at a minimum pre-set
volume. In the "PROG-System" advanced mode you can change the
minimum volume. After
the trafficannouncementyou willcontinue
listening to the previouslyselected source atwhatever volume you
had set.
Ifgeneralvolume is set at "VOL 00" you willonlylisten to traffic
announcements.

PTY programme keys
The pre-tune keys are programmed with the following programme
types: 1 NEWS, 2 SPORT, 3 POP, 4 ROCK M, and 5 CLASSICS.
The pre-tune key 6 PERS (personal) can be used to register a
programme of your choice:
1. Switch on the PTYfunction by brieflypressing the
PTYkey
2.Press the or keyuntilthe programme type of your
choice isdisplayed on screen.
3.Press key 6 untilyou hear the confirmation signal.

PTY function
1. Switch on the PTYfunction by brieflypressing the PTY key. The
screen will display the last programme type selected.
2. Choose the programme type:
–With the pre-tune keys: 1 (NEWS), 2 (SPORT), 3 (POP), 4
(ROCK M), 5 (CLASSICS) or 6 (PERS).
By pressing the programming key of your choice search for
the nextradi
o programme of the selected type isstarted,
meanwhile "PTY..." isdisplayed on screen.
–Brieflypress or untilthe programme type of your
choice isdisplayed on screen, then press or again
untilyou hear the confirmation sig
nal. The PTYsearch carries
on until itcomes across the next station broadcasting the
programme type of your choice, then the relevant short
name willbe displayed on screen, for instance: "POP".
To search for the next station hold the keydown
untilyou hear
the confirmation signal.
Ifatthatmoment there isno station broadcasting the
programme type of your choice, once the search isover you will
listen to the last station tuned and the PTYfunction is
automati
callyswitched off.
3. ExitPTYfunction
Brieflypress the PTYkeyor waitfor about9 secondsfor
automaticswitch off.
