Other services available
16Other services availableLegal Inspection ServiceThe legal inspections must be carried out at the intervals
prescribed. Many countries have legal requirements obliging owners to have their vehicle
tested at specified intervals for safety for the user and for other traffic, as well
as ensuring that vehicle exhaust emissions meet the countries' regulations.
These revisions must be overseen by officially certified centres.
Your Authorised Service Centre can inform you about the inspections required
by law, and can check your vehicle in the course of an Inspection Service. This
will save you both time and money.
The Authorised Service Centre can also carry out the inspections required by
law at the client's request.
Even if you do not wish to take advantage of this service and decide to take
your car to an officially certified centre for this check, we recommend that you
speak to the person in charge of your Authorised Service Centre first.
This person will be able to inform you of any points that require attention so
that your car does not fail the test and have to be re-tested.Approved spare partsAll parts of your vehicle have been approved by SEAT, especially those parts
on which your safety depends. For this reason, the parts used in the
Programmed Inspection Services or in any vehicle repair must correspond
exactly to the manufacturer-defined requirements. The approved SEAT spare parts have been designed especially for your vehicle. For this reason, we
recommend that Genuine approved SEAT spares are always used.
In the Authorised SEAT Service Centres you will find the most important
approved spare parts. If in an exceptional case, the necessary parts are not in
stock, they can, in general, be obtained swiftly.
The SEAT Service Centres in the EU provide a 24 month warranty
3) for
Approved Spare parts from the date they are fitted or sold. It is therefore
advisable to retain the original invoice from the Authorised Service Centre as
proof of the existing warranty.
More information about this may be obtained from your Authorised Service
Centre.
Approved SEAT exchange partsThe approved SEAT exchange parts, conforming to the manufacturer’s
requirements, constitute an additional service at your disposal, offering you
the possibility to replace entire assemblies, the most common being: the
lightened engine, gearboxes, cylinder heads, control units, electrical
elements, etc.
Of course these are Approved parts and, as they have the same class as the
manufacturer parts, they share the same SEAT approved spare parts warranty.
However, these parts are considerably cheaper as they are factory-recondi-
tioned used parts. Keep the invoice for the approved SEAT exchange parts as
proof of the start of the existing warranty.3)The warranty is not available for all export markets. For more information, please ask
your Authorised SEAT Service Centre.
