When trouble arises
NOTICE
When the DPF system warning light comes on (if equipped)
If the DPF system warning light is left on without performing cleaning, after
an additional 100 to 300 km (62 to 187 miles), the malfunction indicator
lamp may come on. If this happens, have the vehicle inspected by any
authorized Toyota dealer or repairer, or another duly qualified and equipped
professional immediately.
If the fuel filter warning light comes on (if equipped)
Never drive the vehicle with the warning light on. Continued driving with
water accumulated in the fuel filter will damage the fuel injection pump.

Master warning light
The master warning light also
comes on or flashes in order to
indicate that a message is cur-
rently being displayed on the multi-
information display.
Multi-information display
If any of the warning message or indicator comes on again after the
following actions have been performed, contact any authorized Toyota
dealer or repairer, or another duly qualified and equipped profes-
sional.
If a warning message or indicator is dis-
played (vehicles with a multi-information
display)
If a warning is shown on the multi-information display, stay calm
and perform the following actions:

When trouble arises
The following warning indicates the possibility of damage to the vehi-
cle that may lead to an accident. Immediately stop the vehicle in a
safe place and contact any authorized Toyota dealer or repairer, or
another duly qualified and equipped professional.

The warning light may come on if the engine oil
pressure is too low.

A buzzer sounds and a warning message/indicator is shown on the
multi-information display. Failure to investigate the cause of the fol-
lowing warnings may lead to the system operating abnormally and
possibly cause an accident. Have the vehicle inspected by any autho-
rized Toyota dealer or repairer, or another duly qualified and equipped
professional.
Have the vehicle inspected immediately.

After taking the specified steps to correct the suspected problem,
check that the warning message and light goes off.
Follow the correction procedures.

driver’s door is opened
while the lights are
turned on

engine switch is turned
off or turned to ACCES-
SORY mode and the
driver’s door is opened
while the lights are
turned on
A buzzer also
sounds.
Turn the lights off.
Indicates that engine oil
level is low.

engine oil, and add if
necessary.

oil maintenance data
has been reset.)
• Vehicles without a
smart entry & start
system: Comes on
for about 15 sec-
onds when the
engine switch is
turned to the “ON”
position.
• Vehicles with a
smart entry & start
system: Comes on
for about 15 sec-
onds when the
engine switch is
turned to IGNITION
ON mode.
Check the engine oil,
and change if neces-
sary. After changing the
engine oil, the oil
change system should

by any authorized

engine oil, the oil
change system should
