Pressing the button changes the

nOdometer
Displays the total distance the vehicle has been driven.
nTr i p m e t e r A*/trip meter B*
Displays the distance the vehicle has been driven since the meter
was last reset. Trip meters A and B can be used to record and dis-
play different distances independently.
*: Press and hold the display change button to reset.
The brightness of the Instrument panel lights can be adjusted.
Pressing the button will adjust
brightness of the Instrument panel
lights.

Displays the average fuel consum ption since the function was
reset, the vehicle was refueled, and the hybrid system was started,
respectively
Use the displayed average fuel consumption as a reference.
l Current fuel economy*1
Displays the current rate of fuel consumption
l Distance to empty
*1/Trip distance*1/Distance*1, 2
Displays the estimated maximum distance that can be driven with
the quantity of fuel remaining, the distance driven after the hybrid
system was started and the distance since the function was reset,
respectively.
• This distance is computed based on your average fuel consumption. As
a result, the actual distance that can be driven may differ from that dis-
played.
• When only a small amount of fuel is added to the tank, the display may
not be updated.
When refueling, turn the power switch off. If the vehicle is refueled with-
out turning the power switch off, the display may not be updated.

Displays the hybrid system was started and the elapsed time since
the function was reset, respectively

lSpeed limit display*
Select to set the display of speed limit information stored in the
navigation system (if equipped) to on with the speed limit caution
indicator (yellow) enabled, on with the speed limit caution not
enabled, or off. If enabled, the sp eed limit caution indicator will
come on if the vehicle speed ex ceeds the displayed speed limit.
l Maintenance system (U.S.A.)
Select to reset the message after the required maintenance is
performed. (
P. 385)
l Initialization
Registered or changed meter settings will be deleted or returned
to their default setting.
*: Speed limit display may not be available for some regions.
nSetting display automatic cancelation
In the following situations, a setting display in which the settings can\
be
changed through the meter control switches will automatically be turned off.
lWhen a warning message appears while the setting display is displayed
l When the vehicle begins to move while the setting display is displayed
n
Tire inflation pressure (vehicles with tire pressure warning system)
lIt may take a few minutes to display the tire inflation pressure after the
power switch is turned to ON mode. It may also take a few minutes to
display the tire inflation pressure after inflation pressure has been
adjusted.
l“---” may be displayed if the tire position information cannot be deter-
mined due to unfavorable radio wave conditions.
lTire inflation pressure changes wit h temperature. The displayed values
may also be different from the values measured using a tire pressure
gauge.
n Liquid crystal display
Small spots or light spots may appear on the display. This phenomenon is
characteristic of liquid crystal displays, and there is no problem continuing to
use the display.

Entune Audio system with “CAR” button
Press the “CAR” button. ( P. 99)
If the “Energy Monitor” or “Trip In formation” screen is displayed, touch
“Past Record”.
Entune Audio system or navigation system with “APPS” button
Press “APPS”. ( P. 9 9 )
Touch “Eco” on the information screen.
If “Energy Monitor” screen is displayed, touch “ECO”.
If “Trip Information” screen is displayed, touch “Past Record”.

Displays a maximum of five past record of the average fuel consump-
tion.

n Resetting the consumption data
Selecting “Clear” on the “Trip Information” screen will reset the fuel consump-
tion and the regenerated energy for the past 15 minutes. Selecting “Clear” on
the “Past Record” screen will reset the past records and best past fuel con-
sumption. Selecting “Yes” on the following screen will confirm resetting of all
the data.

nCruise control can be set when
lThe shift lever is in D.
l Vehicle speed is above approximately 25 mph (40 km/h).
n Accelerating after setting the vehicle speed
lThe vehicle can be accelerated normally. After acceleration, the set speed
resumes.
l Even without canceling the cruise control, the set speed can be increased
by first accelerating the vehicle to the desired speed and then pushing the
lever down to set the new speed.
n Automatic cruise co ntrol cancelation
Cruise control will stop maintaining the vehicle speed in any of the following
situations:
l Actual vehicle speed falls more than approximately 10 mph (16 km/h) below
the preset vehicle speed.
At this time, the memorized set speed is not retained.
l Actual vehicle speed is below approximately 25 mph (40 km/h).
l VSC is activated.
l Enhanced VSC is activated.
l TRAC is activated for a period of time.
l When the VSC or TRAC system is turned off by pressing the VSC OFF
switch
n If a warning message for the cruise control is shown on the multi-infor-
mation display
Press the “ON-OFF” button once to deactivate the system, and then press
the button again to reactivate the system.
If the cruise control speed cannot be set or if the cruise control cancels imme-
diately after being activated, there may be a malfunction in the cruise control
system. Have the vehicle inspected by your Toyota dealer.

the steering wheel.
Operation may differ depending on the type of multimedia sys-
tem or navigation system. For de tails, refer to the manual pro-
vided with the multimedia system or navigation system.
