If the indicator does not turn off within a few seconds of starting the engine, there may be a
malfunction. Have the vehicle inspected by your Toyota dealer.

Smart Key system (if equipped)
START FUNCTION
POWER (WITHOUT STARTING ENGINE)
On - All electrical components can be used.
Accessory – Some electrical components can be used.
Off - All systems OFF. Emergency flashers can be used. NOTE: The Smart Key must be carried to enable the start function. With gear
shift lever in Park and the brake pedal depressed (automatic transmission)/
with the gear shift lever in N and the clutch pedal depressed (manual
transmission), push the “ENGINE START STOP” switch.
Without depressing the brake pedal (automatic transmission)/ the clutch pedal
(manual transmission), pressing the engine switch will change the operation mode
in succession from:

1 The set speed may also be cancelled by depressing the brake pedal or the clutch
pedal (manual transmission).
2 The set speed may be resumed once vehicle speed exceeds 20 mph.

Hill-start Assist Control (HAC)
Hill-start assist control (HAC) helps to maintain braking force to assist starting off
forward while facing uphill or starting off backward while facing downhill. As HAC
is initially disabled, enable the system to make it operable. The enabled/disabled
setting will be maintained the next time the engine is started.
The hill-start assist control ON indicator will be illuminated when system is enabled
and flash while the system is operating.
To enable system, refer to the Owner’s Manual for limitations and more information.

Push “ODO TRIP” to change information in the following:
(1) Odometer
(2) Trip meter
(3) Setting screen for the shift position indicator and shift-up indicator (manual
transmission)
Push “DISP” to change information in the following:
(1) Outside temperature
(2) Current fuel consumption
(3) Average fuel consumption
(4) Setting screen for the REV (engine RPM) indicator*
* Only displayed when the vehicle is stopped.

By connecting a USB-compatible portable audio device or USB memory stick into
the USB media port, you can listen to music through the vehicle’s speaker system.
AUX port
By inserting an AUX cable into the AUX port, you can listen to music from a
portable audio device through the vehicle’s speaker system while in AUX mode.
Refer to the Owner’s Manual for more details.
Designed for car accessories. The “ENGINE START STOP”/ignition switch must be
in the ACCESSORY or IGNITION ON/“ACC” or “ON” position for use.
