Follow me home system✽
This system allows the headlights to be turned on for 30 seconds when
the engine switch is turned off.
Pull the lever toward you and
release it with the light switch
in after turning the engine switch
off.
The lights are turned off in the following
situations.
⦁ The engine switch is turned to “ON”.
⦁ The light switch is turned on.
⦁ The light switch is pulled toward you
and then released.
⬛Daytime running light system✽
To make your vehicle more visible to ot her drivers during daytime driving, the
daytime running lights turn on automatically whenever the engine is started
and the parking brake is released wi th the headlight switch in the or
* position. (Illuminate brighter than the front position lights.) Daytime
running lights are not designed for use at night.
*When the front position lights are not turned on

Failure to do so may prevent the

⬛Automatic light off system
⚫While the lights are turned on, changi ng the engine switch from “ON” to
“ACC” or “OFF” will automatically turn off the lit lights.
⚫To turn the lights on again, turn “ON” the engine switch or move the head-
light switch to the position, and then move it to the or
position.
⬛Automatic light-off warning buzzer
When the headlights and tail lights are tu rned on with the engine switch set to
“ACC” or “OFF”, opening the driver’s door will cause the warning buzzer to
sound, letting the driver know that the lights have not been turned off.
⚫When the buzzer sounds , the warning message also appears for vehicles
with TFT color multi-information display. ( ➞P. 391)
⬛Power saving function
To prevent the battery from discharging, when the engine switch is set in “ACC”
or “OFF” and the headlights or tail lig hts are on, the power saving function is
activated and all lights are automatically turned off after about 10 minutes.
After light has been automatically turn ed off, perform any of the following
operations to cancel the power saving state and turn the lights back on.
⚫
When the engine switch is set to “ON”
⚫When the headlight switch is operated (However, the lights will turn off again
automatically after about 10 minutes)
⚫When one of the doors is opened or cl osed (However, the lights will automati-
cally turn off again after about 10 minutes)
⬛Customizations✽
You can change the timing of the headlight switch turning on and off automat-
ically at the position, etc.

NOTICE
⬛To prevent battery discharge
Do not leave the lights on for a long ti me with the engine stopped. Also, be
sure to turn off the lights when you leave the vehicle.

Front corner sensors✽/Reverse sensors✽
The front corner sensors and reverse sensors are the system that
uses the sonar to recognize the approximate distance between the
vehicle and the obstacle, and that notifies the driver of its presence
by the buzzer and display indica tors when the vehicle speed is
approx. 10 km/h (6 mph) or less.
Sonar positions and types
a Front sonar
The front corner sensors are used to
recognize necessary information.
bRear sonar
The reverse sensors are used to recog-
nize necessary information.
Switching front corner sensors and reverse sensors
(For vehicles with front corner sensors)
Press the switch
Pressing the switch turns on the front
corner sensors or reverse sensors and
lights up the switch-on indicator.
To turn it off, press the switch again.
How to display the front corner sensors or reverse sensors
Once an obstacle is recognized, they
are displayed automatically.

Turns the light on or off
When the door link switch is in the door
position with the door open, the light will
not turn off even if the lens is pressed.

⬛Illuminated entry system
When the switch of the light is in the door position, the lights automatically
turn on or off in the following conditions.

⚫When opening or closing the doors
⚫When operating the engine switch
⬛To prevent battery discharge
⚫When the switch of the light is in the door position with the door not fully
closed, the light automatically tu rns off after about 10 minutes.
⚫When the lights are left on, they automat ically turn off after about 12 min-
utes.

You can change the settings such as a peri od of time until the illuminated entry

⬛Cleaning the exterior lights
⚫Wash carefully. Do not use any organic solvent or scrub with a hard brush.
This may damage the su rfaces of the lights.
⚫Do not apply wax to the surfaces of the lights.
Wax may cause damage to the lenses.
⬛To prevent damage to the outside rear view mirrors
When using an automatic car wash, fo ld the outside rear view mirrors.
⬛Handling of the pole antenna✽
When handling the antenna, do not use ex cessive force. It may lead to defor-
mation of the body or damage to the antenna.
⬛To prevent damage to the pole antenna✽
⚫Retract the antenna if it touches the garage ceiling, etc.
⚫Remove the antenna in the following cases
⦁ When covering the vehicle with a car cover
⦁ When using an automatic car wash
⦁ When parking the vehicle for a long time during snowfall
⬛Removing the pole antenna✽
⚫Make sure that the antenna is insta lled to the vehicle when driving normally.
⚫Be careful not to misplace the antenna when removing it for using an auto-
matic car wash, etc. Replace the ante nna on your vehicle before resuming
driving.
⬛Precautions when wa shing the vehicle
⚫When washing the vehicle, do not pre ss hard, such as by applying weight.
The vehicle body may be dented.
⚫Check that the fuel filler door is cl osed. High water pressure can cause the
fuel filler door to open vigorously and damage the vehicle body and fuel filler
door.
⚫Washing the vehicle with hot water may damage plastic parts.
⚫When you wash the car with a machine using steam, keep the steam away
from the sonar area. The steam may cause the system to malfunction.
⚫Do not use detergents or waxes containing abrasives (compounds).
⬛When using an automatic car wash
Set the air conditioning system to “recirculated air mode”. Water may get
inside the vehicle and cause a malfunction.

⚫By pressing the RETURN switch when the engine switch is “ON”, the warning
message will disappear.
⚫Even when you hide the warning message by pressing the RETURN switch,
the following warning messages wi ll appear in a few seconds.
