The playback mode can be
changed to program mode or
playlist mode. Playlist mode
cannot be selected if a playlist is
not stored on the disc.

“Program” mode: Playback the disc
in order of program number
“Playlist” mode: P layback the disc

BD video
Picture-in-picture is a secondary
video that plays embedded in
the primary video. The second-
ary video can be played from a
disc compatible with the picture-
in-picture function. 1
Select “PinP”.
2 The secondary video is dis-
played on the screen. Each
time “PinP” is selected,
another secondary video
available on the disc is
selected.
“Hide”: Secondary video can be
hidden.
BD video
The secondary audio that for the

The following disc formats can
be used.
MP3, WMA and AAC files written in
any format other than those listed
above may not play correctly, and
their file names and folder names
may not be displayed correctly.
Items related to standards and
limitations are as follows.
• Maximum directory hierar-
chy: 8 levels
• Maximum length of folder names/file names: The num-
ber of the maximum indication
letters by design specifica-
tions of the indication
machine side (support propor-
tional font, and there are dis-
tinction of the half size and full
size)
• Maximum number of folders: 255 (including the root)
• Maximum number of files per disc: 512
 File names
• The only files that can be recog-
nized as MP3/WMA/AAC and
played are those with the exten-
sion .mp3, .wma or .m4a.
 Multi-sessions
As the audio system is compatible
with multi-sessions, it is possible to
play discs that contain MP3, WMA
and AAC files.
ID3 tags
ID3 tags can be added to MP3 files,
making it possible to record the
track title, artist name, etc.
The system is comp atible with ID3
Ver. 1.0, 1.1, 2.2, 2.3 and Ver. 2.4
ID3 tags. (The number of charac-
ters is based on I D3 Ver. 1.0 and
1.1.)
 WMA tags
WMA tags can be added to WMA
files, making it p ossible to record
the track title and artist name in the
same way as with ID3 tags.
 AAC tags
• ADTS(MPEG2 AAC)
ID3 tags can be added to MP3 files,
making it possible to record the
track title, artist name, etc.
• MP4(MPEG4 AAC)
The AAC file can be added informa-
tion (track title, artist name, etc.)
that acquired from the Box of the
metadata of the MP4 container.
 MP3, WMA and AAC play-
back
When a disc containing MP3, WMA
or AAC files is inser ted, all files on
the disc are first checked. Once the
file check is finished, the first MP3,
WMA or AAC file is played. To

cellular phone call is not possible
while driving.
●Only when the vehicle is not mov-
ing, the contact image can be dis-
played.
●When cellular phone call is
changed to hands-free call, the
hands-free screen will be dis-
played and its functions can be
operated on the screen.
●Changing between cellular phone
call and hands-free call can be
performed by operating the cellu-
lar phone directly.
●Transferring methods and opera-
tions will be diffe rent depending
on the type of cellular phone you
have.
●For the operation of the cellular
phone, see the manual that
comes with it.

“Release Tones” appear when a
continuous tone signal(s) con-
taining a (w) is registered in the
contact list.

Select “Release Tones”.
●A continuous tone signal is a char-
acter string that consists of num-
bers and the characters “p” or “w”.
(e.g. 056133w0123p#1)
●When the “p” pause tone is used,
the tone data up until the next
pause tone will be automatically
sent after 2 seconds have
elapsed. When the “w” pause tone
is used, the tone d ata up until the
next pause tone will be automati-
cally sent after a user operation is
performed.
●Release tones can be used when
automated operation of a phone
based service such as an answer-
ing machine or bank phone ser-
vice is desired. A phone number
with continuous tone signals can
be registered in the contact list.
●Tone data after a “w” pause tone
can be operated by voice com-
mand during a call.
1 Select “Transmit Volume”.
2 Select the desired level for
the transmit volume.
3 Select to display previ-
ous screen.
●The sound quality of the voice
heard from the other party’s
speaker may be negatively
impacted.
●“Transmit Volume” is dimmed
when mute is on.
