■When disconnecting and reconnecting battery terminals
The following information data will be reset:
● Stop & Start system total operation time (if equipped)
● Average fuel consumption
● Driving range
● Average vehicle speed
● Clock data
■ Liquid crystal display
Small spots or light spots may appear on the display. This phenomenon is
characteristic of liquid crystal display, and there is no problem continuing to
use the display.
■ Changing the pre-crash warning timing

WARNING
■The information display at low temperatures
Allow the interior of the vehicle to warm up before using the liquid crystal
information display. At extremely low temperatures, the display monitor may
respond slowly, and display changes may be delayed.
For example, there is a lag between the driver’s shifting and the new gear
number appearing on the display. This lag could cause the driver to down-
shift again, causing rapid and exce ssive engine braking and possibly an
accident resulting in death or injury.
■ Cautions during setting up the display
As the engine needs to be running during setting up the display, ensure that
the vehicle is parked in a place with adequate ventilation. In a closed area
such as a garage, exhaust gases including harmful carbon monoxide (CO)
may collect and enter the vehicle. This may lead to death or a serious
health hazard.

The settings of the following items can be changed, refer to P. 666.
For functions that can be enabled or disabled, the function switches
between on and off each time is pressed.
● LDA (Lane Departure Alert) (P. 307)*1
Select to set up the alert sensitivity.
● RSA (Road Sign Assist) (P. 319)

Select to set up the following items.
• Notification method (excess speed/other warnings)
Select to change the notification method of the following warnings to no
notification/display only/display and buzzer.
Excess speed warning:
Warns the driver if the vehicle exceeds the speed displayed on the
speed limit sign on the multi-information display.
Other warnings:
Warns the driver if the system determines that the vehicle is overtaking
when a no overtaking sign is displayed on the multi-information display.
• Excess speed notification level
Select to set the speed threshold over which the excess speed warning
starts to operate when a speed limit sign is displayed on the multi-infor-
mation display.
●Clock
Adjusts the hour and minute, and switches between 12-hour and
24-hour display of the clock. (P. 133)

■Pop-up display
In some situations, such as when a switch operation is performed, a pop-up
display will be temporarily displayed on the multi-information display.
The pop-up display function can be set on/off.
■Setting display automatic cancelation
“Settings” item in settings display is not selectable during driving and cannot
be operated. Also, the settings screen is temporarily canceled in the following
situations.
●A warning message is displayed.
●The vehicle starts off.
■Liquid crystal display
Small spots or light spots may appear on the display. This phenomenon is
characteristic of liquid crystal displays, and there is no problem continuing to
use the display.
■When disconnecting and reconnecting battery terminals
The drive information and clock data will be reset.
■Eco Driving Indicator Zone Display (vehicles with a Multidrive)
Eco Driving Indicator Light will not operate in the following conditions:
●The shift lever is in anything other than D.
●The vehicle is being driven in “SPORT” mode. (P. 253)
●The paddle shift switch is operated while the shift lever in D.
●The vehicle speed is approximately 130 km/h (80 mph) or higher. Suggests Zone of Eco driving and Eco
driving ratio based on acceleration.

Select “Delete contacts” using the tune/scroll knob. (P. 407)
Select the desired phone number using the knob and press
(“Yes”).
To delete all the registered phone numbers, select “All delete” using
the knob and press (“Yes”).
Press (“A-Z”) to display the registered names in alphabetical
order of the initial.
Select “Delete other PB” using the tune/scroll knob. (P. 407)
Select the desired phonebook using the knob and press
(“Yes”).
Select “Call volume” using the tune/scroll knob. (P. 407)
Change the call volume.
To decrease the volume: Turn the knob counterclockwise.
To increase the volume: Turn the knob clockwise.

Select “Ring tone volume” using the tune/scroll knob. (P. 407)
Change the ring tone volume.
To decrease the volume: Turn the knob counterclockwise.
To increase the volume: Turn the knob clockwise.
To set the volume, press
(“Back”).
Select “Ring tone” using the tune/scroll knob. (P. 407)
Using the knob, select a ring tone [1 - 3]. To set the selected ring
tone, press (“Back”).
Select “Transfer history” using the tune/scroll knob (P. 407) and
press (“Yes”).
■Phone number
Up to 1000 names can be stored.
■Call history
Up to 10 numbers can be stored in each of the outgoing, incoming and
missed call history memories.
■Limitation of number of digits
A phone number that exceeds 24 digits cannot be registered.

Speaking on the phone
A call can be transferred between the cellular phone and system while
dialing, receiving a call, or during a call. Use one of the following
methods:
a. Operate the cellular phone.
Refer to the manual that comes with the cellular phone for the operation
of the phone.
b. Press the * (“Phone”).
*: This operation can be performed only when transferring a call from the
cellular phone to the system during a call.
Press (“Mute”).
Press [0-9] and using the tune/scroll knob input the desired
digits.
To decrease the volume: Turn the power/volume knob counterclock-
wise.
To increase the volume: Turn the power/volume knob clockwise.

■Adjusting the temperature setting
Vehicles without the button
Turn the temperature control dial clockwise to increase the tem-
perature.
Vehicles with the button
To adjust the temperature setting, turn the temperature control dial
clockwise (warm) or counterclockwise (cool).
If is not pressed, the system will blow ambient temperature air or
heated air.
■Fan speed setting
To adjust the fan speed, turn the fan speed control dial clockwise
(increase) or counterclockwise (decrease).
Turning the dial to “0” turns off the fan.
■Change the airflow mode
To select the air outlets, set the
air outlet selector dial to the
desired position.
