The Infotainment system provides
you with state-of-the-art in-car
infotainment.
The radio can easily be used by
registering a large number of FM, AM
and DAB (Digital Audio Broadcasting)
radio stations with the 1...6 preset
buttons.
You can connect external data
storage devices to the Infotainment
system as further audio sources;
either via cable or via Bluetooth ®
.
The navigation system reliably guides
you to your destination and, if desired, automatically avoids traffic jams or
other traffic problems.
In addition, the Infotainment system is
equipped with a phone application
that allows for comfortable and safe
use of your mobile phone in the
vehicle.
The Infotainment system can be
operated using the instrument panel
controls, the touch screen, the
controls on the steering wheel or the
speech recognition function.The well-thought-out design of the
control elements and the clear
displays enable you to control the
system easily and intuitively.
Information on operation details and
news on software updates can be
obtained on our website.
Notice
This manual describes all options
and features available for the
various Infotainment systems.
Certain descriptions, including those for display and menu functions, may
not apply to your vehicle due to
model variant, country
specifications, special equipment or
accessories.
Important information on

doubt, stop the vehicle and
operate the Infotainment system

Notice
Only the most direct ways for menu operation are described in the
subsequent chapters. In some
cases, there may be other options.
Switching the Infotainment
system on or off
Press X VOL briefly. After switching
on, the last selected Infotainment source becomes active.

To adjust the volume distribution
between the front and rear speakers
in the vehicle, select Fade. Adjust the
setting as desired.
To adjust the volume distribution
between the left and right speakers in the vehicle, select Balance. Adjust
the setting as desired.
Volume settings
Adjusting the Auto Volume
Press HOME and then select Config
to display the settings menu.
Select Radio Settings and then Auto
Volume .
To adjust the degree of volume
adaptation, set Auto Volume to Off,
Low , Medium or High .
Off : no enhancement of volume with
increasing vehicle speed.
High : maximum enhancement of
volume with increasing vehicle
speed.
Adjusting the Startup Volume
Press HOME and then select Config
to display the settings menu.
Select Radio Settings and then
Startup Volume .
Adjust the setting as desired.
Adjusting the volume of traffic
announcements
The volume of traffic announcements
can be preset to a level independent
of the "normal" volume level.
Press HOME and then select Config
to display the settings menu.
Select Radio Settings , RDS Options
and then Traffic Volume .

While an announcement is being
broadcasted, the volume can be adjusted by turning m VOL .
Adjusting the Chime Volume
When operating the controls in the
vehicle, beeping sounds confirm your
actions. The volume of the beeping
sounds may be adjusted.
Press HOME and then select Config
to display the settings menu.
Select Vehicle Settings , Comfort and
Convenience and then Chime
Volume .
Select Low or High .
Adjusting the Navigation Volume
Press HOME and then select Config
to display the settings menu.
Select Navigation Settings , Voice
Prompt and then Navigation Volume .
To adjust the volume of the
announcements, select
Announcement and then adjust the
setting as desired.

Software version information
To display a list of all software
versions installed, select Software
Version Information .
By default, all versions are activated.
Software update
To update your system software,
contact your workshop.
Log file
To generate a log file of your current
software version, select Create Log
File .
Licensing information
To display information on the
manufacturer of the Infotainment
system, select Licensing Information .
Factory defaults
To reset all Infotainment settings to
their factory defaults, select Clear and
Reset Radio .Display settings
Press HOME , select Config and then
Display Settings .
Home Page
Select Home Page Menu to display
the home page settings menu.
To access the menu from the Home
Page , select Menu at the bottom of
the screen.
The Home Page may be adjusted
according to your personal
preferences.Customise
The application icons displayed on
the first home page may be chosen as desired.
Select Customise to display a list of
all applications installed in the
system. Activate the menu items of
those applications you wish to be
displayed on the first home page.
The other applications are then
arranged on the following pages.Sort
Up to eight application icons may be
arranged on each home page.The positions of the icons can be
changed as desired.
Select Sort to display the home pages
in edit mode.
Touch and hold the icon you want to
move.
To swap this icon to a new position, select the icon in that desired position on the home page.
To confirm the change, select Done.
The two icons are swapped.Home page defaults
To reset the Home Page to its factory
defaults, select Restore Home Page
Defaults .
Display Off
To turn the display off, select Display
Off .
To turn the display back on, press any
button on the Infotainment system
(except the m VOL knob).

If you wish the text to be scrolled
continually, activate Text Scroll.
If you wish the text to be scrolled in
blocks, deactivate the setting.
Black display function
If you do not want to see the
illuminated display, e.g. during night
time, you can turn the display off.
Press ; and then select Settings.
Scroll through the list and select Turn
Display Off . The display is turned off;
the audio functions remain active.
To turn the display on again, touch the
screen or press a button.
Factory defaults
Press ; and then select Settings.
Scroll through the list and select Return to Factory Settings .
To restore all vehicle personalisation
settings, select Restore Vehicle
Settings .
To delete the paired Bluetooth
devices, the contacts list and the
voice mail numbers stored, select
Clear All Private Data .
To reset tone and volume settings,
delete all favourites, and erase the
ringtone selection, select Restore
Radio Settings .
In each case, a warning message is
displayed. Select Continue to reset
the settings.
System version Press ; and then select Settings.
Scroll through the list and select
Software Information .
If a USB device is connected, you
may save the vehicle information to this USB device.Select System Update and then Save
Vehicle Info to USB .
For a system update, contact your
workshop.

The currently received radio station
is indicated by the l symbol next to
the station name.
Update station lists
If the stations stored in the waveband-
specific station list can no longer be
received, the AM and the DAB station lists must be updated.
Notice
The FM station list is updated
automatically.
Select Menu in the bottom line of the
active radio main menu and then
select Update Station List .
Notice
If a waveband-specific station list is
updated, the corresponding
category list is also updated.
A station search is started and a
corresponding message is displayed. Once the search is finished, the
respective station list is displayed.

The currently received radio station

the station name.Favourite lists
Stations of all wavebands can be
stored manually in the favourite lists.
Five favourite lists are available, in
each of which five stations may be
stored.

Storing a station
If required, touch < or > to scroll
through the favourite pages.
To store the currently active radio
station to a preset screen button:
touch and hold the desired screen button for a few seconds. The
corresponding frequency or station
name is displayed on the screen
button.
Retrieving stations If required, touch < or > to scroll to
the desired favourite page.
Select the preset screen button on
which the desired radio station is
stored.
Defining the number of available
favourites pages
To define the number of favouritespages displayed for selection,
press ; and then select SETTINGS
on the screen.
Select Radio and then Manage
Favourites to display the respective
submenu.
Depending on which favourites pages you want to be displayed, activate or
deactivate the pages.
