Automatically activating anddeactivating the heated rear windowand door mirrors
The heated rear window and door mirrors areused to quickly remove condensation and icefrom the glass.
It is possible to select whether rear window anddoor mirror heating should be automatically acti-vated or deactivated when the engine is started.With automatic start activated, heating will beactivated when there is a risk of ice or condensa-tion on the windows or mirrors. Heating is auto-matically switched off when the window or doormirror is sufficiently warm and the condensationor ice is gone.
1.Tap Settings in the Top view in the centerdisplay.
2.Tap Climate.
3.Select Auto Rear Defroster to activate/deactivate automatic rear window and doorheating.

Setting the blower speed for thefront seats
The blower can be set to several different auto-matically controlled speeds for the front seat.
Blower control buttons in Climate view.
1. Open Climate view in the center display.
2.Tap the desired blower speed: Off, 1-5 orMax.
> The blower speed will be changed and thebuttons for the set speed will light up.

CAUTION
The air conditioning will not engage if theblower is turned off completely, which maycause fogging on the inside of the windows.
NOTE
The climate system automatically adapts air-flow as needed within the set blower speed,which means that airflow speed may varyslightly within the same blower speed.

Setting the blower speed for therear seats
The blower can be set to several different auto-matically controlled speeds for the rear seat.

1. Open Climate view in the center display andselect the Rear climate tab.
2.Tap the desired blower speed, 1-5.
The blower speed for the rear seats can beswitched off by tapping 2nd row climate.
> The blower speed will be changed and thebuttons for the set speed will light up.

1. Tap the unlock button on the tunnel con-sole's climate panel to access the controls.

NOTE
The blower speed for the rear seat cannot beset if the blower speed for the front seat isOff.
The rear seat blower speed can only beturned off from the climate view in the centerdisplay.
NOTE

Setting the temperature for thefront seats
The temperature can be set to the desired num-ber of degrees for the front seat climate zones.

1. Tap the left- or right-side temperature but-tons in the center display's climate bar toopen the control.

2. Set the temperature by doing one of the fol-lowing:
dragging the control to the desired tem-perature, or
tapping +− to raise/lower the tempera-ture.
> The temperature will be set and the but-ton will display the new temperature.

NOTE
Heating/cooling cannot be accelerated bychoosing a higher/lower temperature thanthe desired temperature.

Synchronize temperature
The temperature in the different climate zones ofthe vehicle can be synchronized with the tem-perature set for the driver's side.

1. Tap the driver's side temperature button inthe center display's climate bar to open thecontrol.
2.Tap Synchronize temperature .
> The temperature for all of the vehicle's cli-mate zones will be synchronized with theone set for the driver's side and the syn-chronization symbol will be displayed nextto the temperature button.
Synchronization is stopped with another press onSynchronize temperature or by changing thetemperature setting for a climate zone other thanthe driver's.

2.Tap AC.
> The air conditioning is activated/deacti-vated and the button lights up/goes out.
When the air conditioning is activated, itwill be switched on and off automaticallyby the climate system as needed.

NOTE
For optimum function of the air conditioning,close all side windows and the panoramicroof.

NOTE
The air conditioning cannot be activated whenthe fan speed is set to Off.

Parking climate
Parking climate is an umbrella term for variousfunctions that improve the passenger compart-ment climate when the vehicle is parked, e.g.preconditioning.
Parking climate functions are controlled from theParking climate tab in the center display's Climate view.

Preconditioning
Preconditioning the vehicle before driving canhelp reduce wear and reduce energy consump-tion during a trip.
Preconditioning can be started immediately orstarted at a preset time using a timer.
The function utilizes several of the vehicle's sys-tems:
In cold weather, the parking heater heats thepassenger compartment to a comfortabletemperature.
In warm weather, air conditioning cools thepassenger compartment to a comfortabletemperature.
The electrically heated steering wheel* andseats* can be activated.
Heating for the windshield, rear window anddoor mirrors are automatically activated asneeded.
During preconditioning in a hot climate, conden-sation from the air conditions may drip under thevehicle. This is normal.

If the car is not connected to an electricalsocket it is still possible in a warm climate toachieve brief cooling of the passenger com-partment by direct starting preconditioning.

NOTE
During preconditioning of the passengercompartment, the vehicle works to reach acomfortable temperature and not the tem-perature set in the climate system.

Starting and stoppingpreconditioning
Preconditioning heats or cools the passengercompartment before driving. Preconditioningcan be started in the center display or from acellular phone.

Starting from app *
A device with the Volvo On Call* app can be usedto start preconditioning or check settings. Pre-conditioning heats or cools the passenger com-partment (using the vehicle's air conditioning) toa comfortable temperature.
The passenger compartment can also be precon-
ditioned using the Engine Remote Start (ERS)3
function using the Volvo On Call* app.

Preconditioning timer
The timer can be set to finish preconditioning ata predetermined time.
The timer can store up to 8 preset times for:
A time on a particular date
A time on one or more days of the week, withor without the repeat function.

Preconditioning is only available when the caris connected to an electrical outlet. A charg-ing post that is not always active, for examplebecause of a timer, can cause loss of functionfor preconditioning.

Adding and editing timer settingsfor preconditioning
The preconditioning timer can store up to 8 pre-set timer settings.

Adding a timer setting
Button for adding a timer setting in the Parking climatetab in Climate view.
1. Open Climate view in the center display.
2.Select the Parking climate tab.
3.Tap Add timer.
> A pop-up window will appear.

NOTE
It is not possible to add a time setting if thereare already 8 settings for the timer. Delete atime setting to be able to add a new one.
4.Tap Date to set a time for a specific date.
Tap Days to set a time for one or more daysof the week.
With Days: Activate/deactivate the repeatfunction by selecting/deselecting theRepeat weekly checkbox.
5.With Date: Select a date for preconditioningby scrolling in the date list using the arrows.
With Days: Select days of the week for pre-conditioning by tapping the buttons for thedays.
6. Set the time at which preconditioning shouldbe completed by scrolling using the arrows inthe clock.
7.Tap Confirm to add a timer setting.
> The timer setting will be added to the listand activated.
Editing a timer setting
1. Open Climate view in the center display.
2.Select the Parking climate tab.
3. Tap the timer setting you would like tochange.
>A pop-up window will appear.
4. To edit a timer setting, follow the proceduresdescribed under the heading "Adding a timersetting" above.

Deleting preconditioning timersettings
A preconditioning timer setting that is no longerneeded can be deleted.
The button for editing a list/deleting a timer setting inthe Parking climate tab in Climate view.
1. Open Climate view in the center display.
2.Select the Parking climate tab.
3.Tap Edit list.
4. Tap the editing icon to the right in the list.
>The icon will change to the text Delete.
5.Tap Delete to confirm.
> The timer setting will be deleted from thelist.
