Steering cable (jet thrust nozzle end), elec-
tric trim rod (jet thrust nozzle end), and ball
joint
TIP
Disconnect the electric trim rod from the ball
joint before lubricating.
Shift rod (reverse gate end) and ball joint
TIP
Disconnect the shift rod from the ball joint be-
fore lubricating.

Spray metallic parts of the hull, deck, and en-
gine with a rust inhibitor.
Have a Yamaha dealer rustproof the internal
engine components.
