SPECCABLE ROUTING DIAGRAM
ÍFasten the start switch lead, main switch lead,
engine stop switch lead, and thermo switch lead
to the frame with a plastic locking tie at the loca-
tion shown in the illustration. Face the buckle of
the plastic locking tie upward, and then cut off
the excess end of the tie.
Î When installing the crankcase breather hose,
make sure that it does not contact the muffler
and is not twisted. Ï
Fasten the wire harness to the frame with a plas-
tic locking tie at the location shown in the illustra-
tion, making sure that the plastic locking tie does
not contact the crankcase breather hose. Cut off
the excess end of the plastic locking tie, and
then face the cut end of the tie upward. The cut
end of the plastic locking tie should be 5 mm
(0.20 in) or less.
Ð Insert the wire harness holder completely into
the hole in the frame.

ÑFasten the wire harness with a plastic locking tie
as far rearward as possible on the frame. Cut off
the excess end of the plastic locking tie, and
then face the cut end of the tie upward. The cut
end of the plastic locking tie should be 5 mm
(0.20 in) or less.
Ò Do not pinch the carburetor air vent hose
between the air filter case and frame.
Ó Fasten the engine stop switch lead with the plas-
tic bands.
Ô 20 ~ 30 mm (0.79 ~ 1.18 in) Õ
Route the brake cable in front of the front fender.
Ö Route the main switch lead over the handlebar.
× Route the starter cable, engine stop switch lead,
and main switch lead in front of the upper
bracket in the order listed from front to rear.
Ø Route the throttle cable behind the front fender.
Ù Fasten the start switch lead with the plastic
bands.

ÎFasten the AC magneto lead and wire harness
at the white tape with a plastic locking tie. Cut off
the excess end of the plastic locking tie, and
then face the cut end of the tie inward. The cut
end of the plastic locking tie should be 5 mm
(0.20 in) or less.
Ï Place the cover on the starter relay, install the
cover to the frame, and then connect the starter
relay coupler. Ð
Install the wire harness so that the leads that
branch off from the wire harness are routed
downward.
Ñ Make sure that the leads that branch off from the
wire harness are routed alongside the wire har-
ness in the area shown in the illustration.

locking tie at the location shown in the illustra-
tion. Cut off the excess end of the plastic locking
tie, and then face the cut end of the tie upward.
The cut end of the plastic locking tie should be
5 mm (0.20 in) or less.
Ó Gather the slack of the AC magneto lead and
starter motor lead in the area shown in the illus-
tration, and then place the slack between the air
filter case and battery. Ô
Pass the brake cable through the guides on the
front fork guard.
Õ Do not fasten the rectifier/regulator lead.
Ö Do not pinch the starter motor lead.
× Before installing the CDI unit, connect the AC
magneto lead couplers and place them under
the wire harness in the CDI unit holder.
Ø Place the cover on the CDI unit, and then install
the CDI unit in the CDI unit holder.

Die hier empfohlenen Zeitabstände für Wartung und Schmierung sollten lediglich als Richtwerte für
den Normalbetrieb angesehen werden. Je nach Wetterbedingungen, Belastung und Einsatzgebiet
können in Abweichung des regelmäßigen Wartungsplans kürzere Intervalle notwendig werden.

Carburetor side
NOTE:
Before adjusting the throttle cable free play,
the engine idle speed should be adjusted.
 Remove the seat assembly and air scoop
(right).
Refer to “FRONT FENDER, SEAT
ASSEMBLY AND FUEL TANK ” section in
the CHAPTER 4.
 Pull back the adjuster cover.
 Loosen the locknut 1 on throttle cable.
 Turn the adjuster 2 in or out until the
specified free play is obtained.
Turning in b → Free play is increased.
Turning out c → Free play is decreased.
 Tighten the locknut.
 Slide the adjuster cover to its original posi-
tion.
 Install the seat assembly and air scoop
(right).
NOTE:
If the specified throttle cable free play can-
not be obtained on the carburetor side of the
cable, use the adjusting nut on the handle-
bar side.
WARNING
After adjusting, turn the handlebar to
right and left and make sure that the
engine idling does not run faster.

N.B.:
Avant de r égler le jeu du c âble des gaz, r égler le
ré gime de ralenti du moteur.
 Déposer la selle compl ète et la prise d ’air
(droite).
Se reporter à la section “GARDE-BOUE
AVANT, SELLE ET RESERVOIR
D ’ESSENCE ” au CHAPITRE 4.
 Tirer vers l ’arri ère le cache du dispositif de
r é glage.
 Desserrer le contre- écrou 1 du c âble des gaz.
 Visser ou d évisser le dispositif de r églage 2
jusqu ’à obtention du jeu sp écifi é.

Le jeu augmente.
D évisser c
→
Le jeu diminue.
 Serrer le contre- écrou.
 Glisser le cache du dispositif de r églage à sa
position initiale.
 Reposer la selle compl ète et la prise d ’air
(droite).
N.B.:
S ’il est impossible d ’obtenir le jeu de c âble des
gaz sp écifi é à l ’aide du dispositif de r églage du
c ô té carburateur du c âble, utiliser l ’écrou de
ré glage du c ôté guidon.
AVERTISSEMENT
Apr ès le r églage, tourner le guidon vers la
droite et vers la gauche et contr ôler que le
régime de ralenti du moteur ne change pas.

1. Kontrollieren:

Nicht nach Vorgabe → Korrigieren.

2. Einstellen:
Gaszugspiel am Gasdrehgriff
Gaszugspiel einstellen:
Vergaserseitige Einstellung
HINWEIS: Vor dem Einstellen des Gaszugspiels sollte
sichergestellt werden, dass die Leerlauf-
drehzahl richtig eingestellt ist.
 Die Sitzbank und Lufthutze rechts demon-
tieren.
Siehe dazu den Abschnitt “VORDER-
RADABDECKUNG, SITZBANK UND
KRAFTSTOFFTANK ” in KAPITEL 4.
 Die Gummiabdeckung zur ückziehen.
 Die Sicherungsmutter 1 am Gaszug
lockern.
 Die Einstellmutter 2 verdrehen, bis das
vorgeschriebene Spiel erreicht ist.
Hineindrehen b → Spiel wird gr
ößer.
Herausdrehen c → Spiel wird kleiner.
 Die Sicherungsmutter festziehen.
 Die Gummiabdeckung in die urspr üngliche
Lage bringen.
 Die Sitzbank und Lufthutze rechts montieren.
HINWEIS:
Falls das Gaszugspiel sich nicht vergasersei-
tig einstellen l ässt, die Einstellung an der gas-
drehgriffseitigen Einstellmutter vornehmen.
WARNUNG
Nach der Einstellung sollte der Lenker
bei laufendem Motor beidseitig bis zum
Anschlag gedreht und dabei sicherge-
stellt werden, dass die Leerlaufdrehzahl
sich nicht ver ändert.

Loosen the locknut 3 on throttle cable.
 Turn the adjuster 4 in or out until the
specified free play is obtained.
Turning in d → Free play is increased.
Turning out e → Free play is decreased.
 Tighten the locknut.
WARNING
After adjusting, turn the handlebar to
right and left and make sure that the
engine idling does not run faster.

SPEED LIMITER ADJUSTMENT
The speed limiter keeps the carburetor throttle
from becoming fully-opened even when the
throttle lever is applied to the maximum posi-
tion. Screwing in the adjuster stops the engine
speed from increasing.
1. Measure:

 Loosen the locknut 1.
