COOLANT LEVEL INSPECTION
WARNING
Do not remove the radiator cap 1,
drain bolt and hoses when the
engine and radiator are hot. Scald-
ing hot fluid and steam may be
blown out under pressure, which
could cause serious injury.
When the engine has cooled,
place a thick towel over the radia-
tor cap, slowly rotate the cap
counterclockwise to the detent.
This procedure allows any resid-
ual pressure to escape. When the
hissing sound has stopped, press
down on the cap while turning
counterclockwise and remove it.
CAUTION:
Hard water or salt water is harmful
to the engine parts. You may use
distilled water, if you can’t get soft
water.
1. Place the machine on a level
place, and hold it in an upright
position.
2. Inspect:
Coolant level
Coolant level should be

3. Start the engine and let it warm
up for several minutes.

CONTROLE DU NIVEAU DU
LIQUIDE DE REFROIDISSEMENT
AVERTISSEMENT
Ne pas déposer le bouchon du radia-
teur 1
, le boulon de vidange et les
tuyaux quand le moteur et le radia-
teur sont chauds. Le liquide bouillant
et de la vapeur pourraient être éjectés
sous pression, ce qui pourrait causer
de graves brûlures.
Quand le moteur est froid, mettre un
chiffon épais sur le bouchon du radia-
teur et tourner lentement le bouchon à
gauche jusqu’au point de détente.
Cette procédure permet de faire tom-
ber toute pression résiduelle. Quand le
sifflement s’est arrêté, appuyer sur le
bouchon tout en le tournant à droite
pour le déposer.
ATTENTION:
L’eau calcaire et l’eau salée sont nuisi-
bles pour les pièces du moteur. Si on
ne dispose pas d’eau douce, on peut
utiliser de l’eau distillée.
1. Placer la machine sur un sol de
niveau, puis tenir bien vertical.
2. Contrôler:
Niveau du liquide de refroidisse-
ment
Le niveau du liquide de refroidis-
sement devrait se trouver entre
les lignes de maximum a et de
minimum b.
Le niveau du liquide de refroidis-
sement est en dessous de la ligne
de niveau “LOW” → ajouter de
l’eau douce (eau de robinet)
jusqu’au niveau correct.
3. Démarrer le moteur et le laisser
chauffer quelques minutes.
4. Arrêtez le moteur et vérifier à nou-
veau le niveau du liquide de refroi-
dissement.
N.B.:
Avant de vérifier le niveau du liquide de
refroidissement, attendre quelques minu-
tes que le liquide de refroidissement soit
reposé.

KÜHLFLÜSSIGKEITSTAND
KONTROLLIEREN
WARNUNG
Der heiße Kühler steht unter Druck.
Daher niemals den Kühlerverschluß-
deckel 1, die Ablaßschraube oder
Kühlsystemschläuche bei heißem
Motor abnehmen, denn austreten-
der Dampf und heiße Kühlflüssigkeit
könnten ernsthafte Verbrühungen
verursachen.
Den Kühlerverschlußdeckel erst nach
Abkühlen des Motors öffnen. Dazu
einen dicken Lappen über den Küh-
lerverschlußdeckel legen und den
Deckel langsam gegen den Uhrzei-
gersinn bis zum Anschlag drehen,
damit der restliche Druck entwei-
chen kann. Wenn kein Zischen mehr
zu vernehmen ist, auf den Dekkel
drücken und ihn gegen den Uhrzei-
gersinn abschrauben.
ACHTUNG:
Hartes Wasser oder Salzwasser
sind für den Motor schädlich.
Destilliertes Wasser, am besten
jedoch Kühlflüssigkeit verwenden.
1. Das Motorrad auf eine ebene
Fläche stellen und vollständig
gerade halten.
2. Kontrollieren:
Kühlflüssigkeitsstand
Der Kühlflüssigkeitsstand
sollte sich zwischen der Maxi-
malstand-Markierung
a und
für Minimalstand-Markierung
b befinden.
Unter halb der Minimalstand-
Markierung
→ Kühlflüssigkeit
der empfohlenen bis zum vor-
geschriebenen Stand auffül-
len.
3. Den Motor starten und einige
Minuten warmlaufen lassen.
4. Den Motor abstellen und den
Kühlflüssigkeitsstand erneut
kontrollieren.
HINWEIS:
Vor der Kontrolle des Kühlflüssig-
keitsstands einige Minuten warten,
damit sich die Kühlflüssigkeit setzen
kann.

Non rimuovere il tappo del radiatore

, il bullone di scarico e i flessibili
quando il motore ed il radiatore sono
caldi. Si potrebbe verificare la fuoriu-
scita sotto pressione di liquido e
vapori bollenti, che potrebbe provo-
care infortuni gravi.
Dopo che il motore si è raffreddato,
posizionare un asciugamano spesso sul
tappo del radiatore e far ruotare len-
tamente il tappo in senso opposto al
fermo. Questa procedura consentirà la
fuoriuscita della pressione residua.
Quando non si sente più il sibilo carat-
teristico, premere sul tappo del radia-
tore e svitarlo in senso antiorario per
rimuoverlo.
ATTENZIONE:
L’acqua dura o salata è dannosa per i
componenti del motore. È possibile
usare acqua distillata, se non è dispo-
nibile acqua dolce.
1. Posizionare il veicolo su una super-
ficie piana e tenerlo in posizione
eretta.
2. Ispezionare:
Livello liquido di raffreddamento
Il livello del liquido di raffredda-
mento deve trovarsi tra i riferi-
menti di livello massimo a e di
livello minimo b.
Il livello del liquido di raffredda-
mento è inferiore al riferimento
del minimo “LOW” → Aggiun-
gere acqua dolce (acqua del rubi-
netto) fino al livello corretto.
3. Avviare il motore e farlo riscaldare
per alcuni minuti.
4. Spegnere il motore e ricontrollare il
livello del liquido di raffredda-
mento.
NOTA:
Prima di controlla il livello del liquido di
raffreddamento, attendere qualche
minuto per lasciare depositare il liquido
di raffreddamento.

ADVERTENCIA
No extraiga la tapa del radiador 1,
el perno de drenaje y los tubos
cuando el motor y el radiador
estén calientes. Podría salir
líquido y vapor hirviendo a pre-
sión, lo cual puede provocar
daños graves.
Cuando el motor se haya enfriado,
abra la tapa mediante el siguiente
procedimiento: Coloque un paño
grueso por ejemplo una toalla,
sobre la tapa del radiador, gire
lentamente la tapa hacia la
izquierda hasta que se detenga.
Este procedimiento permite que
se escape cualquier presión resi-
dual que quede. Cuando se haya
detenido el silbido, presione la
tapa mientras la gira hacia la
izquierda y retírela.
ATENCION:
Tanto el agua pesada como el
agua salada son perjudiciales
para las piezas del motor. Puede
utilizar agua destilada en caso de
que no consiga agua blanda.
1. Coloque la motocicleta en una
superficie nivelada y manténgala
en posición vertical.

probar el nivel de refrigerante.
NOTA:
Antes de comprobar el nivel de refri-
gerante, espere unos minutos hasta
que se haya asentado.
