Entretien de la batterie
1. Si la machine doit rester inutilisée pendant un mois
ou plus, enlever la batterie et la conserver dans un
endroit frais et sombre. Recharger la batterie à fond
avant de la remonter.ATTENTION:_ Un chargeur spécial (tension/courant constants ou
tension constante) est nécessaire pour recharger une
batterie de type scellé. L’utilisation d’un chargeur de
type conventionnel peut raccourcir la durée de servi-
ce de la batterie. _2. En remontant la batterie dans le véhicule, toujours
veiller à ce que les connexions soient effectuées
correctement.

Mantenimiento de la batería
1. Cuando no vaya a utilizar la máquina durante
un mes o más, desmonte la batería y guárdela
en un sitio oscuro y fresco. Recárgue la batería
completamente antes de montarla de nuevo.AT E N C I O N :Se necesita un cargador de batería especial (ten-
sión/corriente constante o tensión constante)
para recargar esta batería. El uso de un cargador
convencional podría acortar la vida útil de la ba-
tería. 2. Cuando monte de nuevo la batería en la má-

mente las conexiones.

Fuse replacement
1. The fuse case is located under the seat.
2. If the fuse is blown, turn off the main switch
and install a new fuse of the specified amper-
age. Then turn on the switches. If the fuse im-
mediately blows again, consult a Yamaha
dealer.
WARNING
Always use a fuse of the specified rating. Nev-
er use a material in place of the proper fuse. An
improper fuse can cause damage to the electri-
cal system which could lead to a fire. CAUTION:
To prevent accidental short-circuiting, turn off
the main switch when checking or replacing a
fuse. Specified fuse: 20 A

Remplacement du fusible
1. Le boîtier de fusible est placé sous la selle.
2. Si le fusible grille, couper le contact et remonter un
fusible neuf en respectant l’ampérage spécifié. Re-
mettre ensuite le contact. Si le fusible grille immé-
diatement, consulter un concessionnaire Yamaha.
AVERTISSEMENT
_ Toujours installer un fusible de l’ampérage spécifié.
Ne jamais monter d’autre objet à cet endroit. L’ins-
tallation d’un fusible d’ampérage incorrect risque
d’endommager le circuit électrique, ce qui peut pro-
voquer un incendie. _ATTENTION:_ Afin d’éviter un court-circuit, couper le contact avant
de contrôler ou de remplacer un fusible. _

Cambio del fusible
1. El portafusible está situado bajo el asiento.
2. Si el fusible salta, quite el contacto y coloque un
fusible nuevo del amperaje correcto. Después
active de nuevo el contacto. Si el fusible vuelve
a saltar inmediatamente, consulte a un conce-
sionario Yamaha.
ADVERTENCIA
Use siempre fusibles del amperaje prescrito. No
utilice nunca otros materiales en sustitución del
fusible. Un fusible incorrecto puede causar da-
ños al sistema eléctrico, con riesgo de incendio. AT E N C I O N :Para evitar cortocircuitos accidentales, quite el
contacto antes de comprobar o cambiar los fusi-
bles.

Replacing a headlight bulb
If a headlight bulb burns out, replace the bulb as
follows.
1. Remove the headlight assembly by removing
the bolts.
2. Disconnect the headlight coupler.

Remplacement d’une ampoule de phare
Si une ampoule de phare grille, la remplacer comme suit:
1. Déposer le bloc phare après avoir retiré ses bou-
lons.
2. Déconnecter le coupleur de phare.

Si se funde una bombilla del freno, reemplace la
bombilla de la forma siguiente.
1. Extraiga el conjunto del faro sacando los per-
nos.
2. Desconecte el acoplador del faro.

3. Remove the screw.
4. Remove the headlight cover from the head-
light assembly.
5. Remove the screw and pull the headlight unit
out from its case.NOTE:_ Pull outward on the rear of the headlight unit, and
then pull outward on the front. _

3. Retirer la vis.

5. Retirer la vis et extraire l’optique de phare de son
support.N.B.:_ Tirer sur l’arrière de l’optique de phare, puis sur l’avant. _

4. Extraiga la cubierta del faro del conjunto del fa-
ro.
5. Extraiga el tornillo y tire de la unidad del faro
para sacarla de su caja.NOTA:_ Tire hacia fuera de la parte trasera de la unidad del
faro, y luego tire hacia fuera por la parte frontal. _

6. Remove the headlight bulb holder cover.
7. Push the headlight bulb holder inward, turn it
counterclockwise and remove the defective
bulb.
WARNING
_ A headlight bulb is hot when it is on and imme-
diately after it is turned off. Wait for the bulb to
cool down before touching or removing it. You
can be burned, or a fire could start if the bulb
touches something flammable. _

6. Déposer le cache de la fixation de l’ampoule du
phare.
7. Appuyer sur la fixation d’ampoule, puis la tourner
dans le sens inverse des aiguilles d’une montre,
puis retirer l’ampoule défectueuse.
AVERTISSEMENT
_ Une ampoule de phare est chaude quand elle est allu-
mée et reste chaude juste après son extinction. Atten-
dre que l’ampoule soit refroidie avant de la toucher
ou de la déposer. Il y a risque de brûlure ou d’incen-
die si l’ampoule entre en contact avec des objets in-
flammables. _
6. Extraiga la cubierta del portabombillas del faro.
7. Empuje el portabombillas del faro hacia dentro,
gírelo hacia la izquierda y extraiga la bombilla
defectuosa.
ADVERTENCIA
_ La bombilla del faro está caliente cuando está
encendida e inmediatamente después de haber-
se apagado. Espere a que se enfríe la bombilla
antes de tocarla o extraerla. Podría quemarse, o
podría producirse fuego si la bombilla tocará
algo inflamable. _

1. Do not touch the glass part of the bulb.

8. Put a new headlight bulb into position and se-
cure it in place with the bulb holder.CAUTION:_ Do not touch the glass part of the headlight
bulb to keep it free from oil, otherwise the
transparency of the glass, the luminosity of the
bulb, and the bulb life will be adversely affect-
ed. Thoroughly clean off any dirt and finger-
prints on the headlight bulb using a cloth
moistened with alcohol or thinner. _9. Install the headlight bulb holder cover.CAUTION:_ Make sure the headlight bulb holder cover is
securely fitted over the bulb holder and seated
against the reflector. _
