amberEBD FAILURE
The simultaneous switching on of the warning
lights with the engine on indicates either a fault of
the EBD system or that the system is not
available. In this case, the rear wheels may
suddenly lock and the vehicle may swerve when
braking sharply.
The display shows the dedicated message.Drive very carefully to the nearest Abarth
Dealership to have the system inspected
immediately.
redAIRBAG FAILURE
When the key is turned to MAR-ON, the warning
light switches on but it should switch off after a
few seconds.
The warning light stays on constantly if there is a
fault in the airbag system.
The display shows the dedicated message.

redSEAT BELTS NOT FASTENED
(for versions/markets, where provided)
The warning light switches on constantly with the
car stationary and the driver's or passenger side
seat belt (when the passenger is present) not
fastened.
The warning light flashes and a buzzer sounds if
the car is in motion and the front seat belts are
not correctly fastened. For permanent deactivation of the SBR (Seat Belt
Reminder) system buzzer, contact an Abarth
Dealership. The system can be reactivated using
the Setup Menu.
WARNING
60) If thewarning light turns on when travelling, stop the car immediately and contact an Abarth Dealership.
61) If, when turning the key to MAR-ON, the
warning light does not turn on or if it stays on when travelling, there
could be a fault in the restraint systems; in this event airbags or pretensioners may not be deployed in the event of
impact or, in a lower number of cases, they may deploy accidentally. Before driving off, contact an Abarth Dealership
to have the system checked immediately.
62) Failure of warning light
(warning light off) is indicated by warning lightwhich will blink for longer than the

SAFETY
The chapter that you are about to read

All restraint devices must bear the
certification data, together with the
control mark, on a label solidly fixed to
the child restraint system which must
never be removed.
Lineaccessori Abarth offers child
restraint systems for each weight
group. These devices are
recommended having been specifically
designed for Abarth cars.
WARNING
71) SEVERE DANGER. When an
active passenger airbag is fitted,
DO NOT install rear facing child
restraint systems on the front
seat. Deployment of the airbag in
an accident could cause fatal
injuries to the child regardless of
the severity of the impact. It is
advisable to always carry children
in a child restraint system on the
rear seat, which is the most
protected position in the event of
an impact.72) On the sun visor there is a label
with suitable symbols reminding
the user that it is compulsory
to deactivate the airbag if a rear
facing child restraint system is
fitted. Always comply with the
instructions on the passenger side
sun visor (see the "Front airbags"
paragraph).
73) On the sun visor there is a label
with suitable symbols
remembering that it is compulsory
to deactivate the airbag if a rear
facing child restraint system is
fitted. Always comply with the
instructions on the passenger side
sun visor (see the "Front airbags"
paragraph).
IMPORTANT
16) If necessary, children can stay
on the front seat, only if the
passenger's front airbag can be
disabled. In this case, check that
the airbag is actually deactivated
by making sure the warning light
appears on the instrument panel
(see "Passenger side front airbag"
in the "Front airbags" paragraph).
The passenger seat must also
be positioned back as far as
possible in order to avoid the child
restraint system from coming
into contact with the dashboard.
