USING THE HANDBOOK
Each time direction instructions (left/right or forwards/backwards) about the vehicle are given, these must be understood as regarding an occupant in the driver’s seat.
Special cases not complying with this rule will be specified as appropriate in the text.
The figures in the Owner Handbook are provided by way of example only: this might imply that some details of the image do not correspond to the actual arrangement
of your vehicle. In addition, the Handbook has been conceived considering vehicles with steering wheel on the left side; it is therefore possible that on vehicles with
steering wheel on the right side, the position or construction of some controls is not exactly mirror-like with respect to the figure.
To identify the chapter with the information needed you can consult the index at the end of this Owner Handbook.
Chapters can be rapidly identified with dedicated graphic tabs, at the side of each odd page. A few pages further there is a key for getting to know the chapter order
and the relevant symbols in the tabs. There is anyway a textual indication of the current chapter at the side of each even page.

WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS
While reading this Owner Handbook you will find a series of WARNINGS to prevent procedures that could damage your car.
There are also PRECAUTIONSthat must be carefully followed to prevent incorrect use of the components of the vehicle, which could cause
accidents or injuries.
Therefore all WARNINGSand PRECAUTIONSmust always be carefully followed.
WARNINGSand PRECAUTIONSare recalled in the text with the following symbols:
NOTE These symbols, when necessary, are indicated besides the title or at the end of the line and are followed by a number.
That number recalls the corresponding warning at the end of the relevant section.
IMPORTANT
This Owner Handbook describes all Alfa 4C versions. Options, equipment dedicated to specific markets or versions are not explicitly
indicated in the text: as a consequence, you should only consider the information which is related to the trim level, engine and version
that you have purchased. Any content introduced throughout the production of the model, outside the specific request of options at the
time of purchase, will be identified with the wording (where provided).
All data contained in this publication are intended to help you use your vehicle in the best possible way. FCA Italy S.p.A. aims at a
constant improvement of the vehicles produced. For this reason it reserves the right to make changes to the model described for
technical and/or commercial reasons.
For further information, contact a dedicated Alfa Romeo Dealership.

Electric window system initialisation
After there has been no power supply
for the control units (battery replaced or
disconnected or protective fuses for the
electric window control units replaced),
the automatic operation of the windows
must be restored.
The restoration procedure must be
performed as described below with the
doors closed:
❒ completely open the driver’s door
window keeping the operating button
pressed for at least three seconds after
the (lower) end of travel position;❒ completely raise the driver’s side
window and keep the button pressed for
at least three seconds once the end of
travel position (upper end stop) has been
reached;
❒ repeat stages 1 and 2 for the
passenger-side window;
❒ make sure that the initialisation is
correct by checking that the windows
work automatically.
14)Incorrect use of the electric windows
may be dangerous. Before and during
their operation, ensure that any
passengers are not at risk from the
moving glass either by personal objects
getting caught in the mechanism or by
being hit by it directly. When leaving the
car, always remove the key from the
ignition to prevent accidental operation
of the electric windows from being a

Alfa DNA SYSTEM
(Car dynamic control system)
This device allows, using lever 1 fig. 28
(on the central tunnel), four car response
modes to be selected according to
driving style and road conditions:
❒ d = Dynamicor Race
(sports driving mode);
❒ n = Natural(mode for driving in normal
conditions);
❒ a = All Weather(mode for driving in
poor grip conditions, such as rain and
snow).
28A0L0108
The lever 1 is a monostable, i.e. it always
remains in the central position.
The selected driving mode is indicated by
the corresponding LED switching on in
the panel and by an indication on the
display.
The device acts on the dynamic car
control systems (engine, steering, ESC,
ASR, ELECTRONIC Q2 systems, etc.).
“Natural” MODE
It is a manufacturer-recommended mode
aimed at comfort and safety in normal
grip and driving conditions.
“DYNAMIC“” MODE
IMPORTANT During the first 250 km of
car utilisation, the Dynamic and Race
modes are inhibited. Within this first
interval of start-up mileage it is advisable
to refrain from an aggressive driving
style, so that the best gear shifting
quality can be achieved over time.
Activation
Move lever 1 fig. 28 upwards (to the
letter “d”) and hold in this position for half
a second, until the corresponding LED
lights up and the “Dynamic” mode
activation indicator appears on the
display.
When released, lever 1 will return to
the central position.
Deactivation
To deactivate “Dynamic” mode and return
to “Natural”, move lever 1 fig. 28
downwards (to letter “a”) and keep it in
this position for half a second.
“Race” MODE
Activation
Move lever 1 fig. 28 upwards (to the
letter “d”) and hold in this position for 5
seconds, until the “Race” mode activation
indicator appears on the display.

TRIP COMPUTER
The Trip computer is used to display
information on car operation when the
key is turned to MAR.
This function is characterised by two
separate records, called “Trip A” and
“Trip B”, where the car’s “complete
missions” (journeys) are recorded in a
reciprocally independent manner.
Both memories can be reset: i.e. start of a
new journey.
“Trip A” can be used to display the values
relating to:
❒ Range
❒ Distance travelled
❒ Average consumption
❒ Instantaneous consumption
❒ Average speed
❒ Trip time (driving time).
“Trip B” may be used to display the
figures relating to:

Warning lights on panelMeaningWhat to do
In any situation in which the message is “See manual”, it is
ESSENTIAL to refer to the contents of the “Wheels”
paragraph in the “Technical data” chapter, strictly
complying with the indications that you find there.
Low tyre pressure - See manual
The warning light switches on, together with a dedicated
message on the display, to indicate that the tyre pressure
is lower than the recommended value and/or that slow
pressure loss is occurring. In these circumstances, optimal
tyre duration and fuel consumption may not be
guaranteed.
Should two or more tyres be in the condition mentioned
above, the display will show the indications corresponding
to each tyre in sequence.
Contact a dedicated Alfa Romeo Dealership as soon as
possible. TPMS system fault
The warning light switches on when a fault is detected in
the TPMS.
Should one or more wheels be fitted without sensors, the
display will show a warning message until initial conditions
are restored.IMPORTANT Do not continue driving with one or more flat
tyres as handling may be compromised. Stop the vehicle,
avoiding sharp braking and steering. Repair immediately
using the dedicated kit (see “Repairing a wheel” paragraph
in the “In an emergency” chapter) and contact the
dedicated Alfa Romeo Dealership as soon as possible. TPMS SYSTEM

Warning lights on panelMeaningWhat to do
EXTERIOR LIGHTS FAILURE
The symbol and corresponding message appear on the
display if a fault is detected in one of the following lights:
❒ daytime running lights (DRLs)
❒ side lights
❒ dipped beam headlights
❒ direction indicators
❒ rear fog lights
❒ reversing lights
❒ number plate lights.
The failure relating to these lights could be: one or more
blown bulbs, a blown protection fuse or a break in the
electrical connection.
Check and replace the concerned fuses as shown in the
“If a fuse blows” paragraph in the “In an emergency”
chapter; if this does not solve the fault, check and replace
the concerned bulbs as described in “Replacing an exterior
bulb” in the “In an emergency” chapter.
Should this operation also fail to resolve the fault, contact
the dedicated Alfa Romeo Dealership, for a
comprehensive check of the electrical system.
SERVICE (SCHEDULED SERVICING)
The digital warning light appears automatically, together
with an associated message, with the key at MAR, starting
from 2,000 km (or equivalent distance in miles) from the
next scheduled servicing operation and shown again every
200 km (or equivalent distance in miles).Contact a dedicated Alfa Romeo Dealership.
The operations of the “Scheduled Servicing Plan” will be
performed and the message will be reset.
