You can manually select various
f unctions of the Climate Control
system when it is in FULL AUTO.
All other f eatures remain auto-
matically controlled. Some of these
f unctions appear in the Navigation
System display. With the Navigation
System, press the A/C-INFO button
next to the display to show these
functions.

will see A/C ON, A/C OFF, or A/C

When you turn the A/C of f , the
system cannot regulate the inside
temperature if you set it below the
outside temperature. With the A/C
on, use the temperature buttons to
adjust the temperature of the air
flow to a comfortable setting.
With the A/C in economy mode, you
will see A/C ECON in the display.
Usethismodetogetbetterfuel
economy.
In this mode, you may f eel a slight re-
duction in cooling ef f iciency. If you
want more cooling, select A/C ON or
FULL AUTO.This button controls the source of
the air going into the system. When
the indicator above this button is lit,
air f rom the vehicle’s interior is sent
through the system again (Recircula-
tion mode). When the indicator is off,
air is brought in f rom outside the
vehicle (Fresh Air mode).
You can, f or example, manually put
the system in recirculation mode
when driving through an area of
smoke or f umes.
You can manually select the f an
speed with the f an speed icon.
Touching the icon repeatedly makes
the fan run faster. The fan speed is
shownbybarsinthedisplay.If the
f an is at its highest speed, touching
the icon again takes it to its lowest
speed.
To remove f og f rom the inside of the
windows (on very cold days), you
select , the A/C turns on
automatically and the system selects
Fresh Air mode.

Use the MODE icons to select the
vents the air flows from. Some air

MODE selection you may have made.
When you turn of f by
pressing the button again, the
system returns to its former settings. When you select , the A/C
turns on automatically and the
system selects Fresh Air mode. For
f aster def rosting, manually set the

The air f low f rom the rear vents can
be adjusted when the climate control
system is on. (Upper position): Maximum
(Center position): Moderate
(Lower position): Of fUse the mode control lever to select
the air f low level. Air f lows into the
rear seat at three levels.
You can adjust the direction of the
air coming f rom the upper vents in
the center console by moving the tab
in the center of each vent up-and-
down and side-to-side.
You can also adjust the amount of
the air f low by sliding the air f low
control lever under the upper vents.
Slide this lever upward to increase
the amount of air f low. (Upper position):
Air flows from the upper vents in the
back of the center console.
(Center position):
Air f low is divided between the upper
vents and the lower vents in the back
of the center console.
(Lower position):
Air f lows f rom the lower vents.

Your Acura’s audio system provides
clear reception on both AM and FM
bands, while the preset buttons allow
you to easily select your f avorite
stations.
The cassette system f eatures Dolby
noise reduction, automatic sensing of
chromium-dioxide (CrO ) tape, and
auto-reverse f or continuous play.
The in-dash CD changer holds up to
six discs. You operate the CD
changer with the same controls used
f or the radio. See page f or CD
changer operation.The anti-thef t f eature will disable the
system if it is disconnected f rom the
vehicle’s battery. To get the system
working again, you must enter a
code number (see page ).

Use the TUNE knob to
tune the radio to a desired f requency.
Turn the TUNE knob to the right to
tune to a higher f requency, or to the
lef t to tune to a lower f requency.
Turn the knob right or lef t until the
display reaches the desired
f requency.
The ignition switch must be in
ACCESSORY (I) or ON (II) to
operate the audio system. Turn the
system on by pressing the PWR/
VOL knob, or the AM or FM button.
Adjust the volume by turning the
knob.
The band and f requency that the
radio was last tuned to is displayed.
To change bands, press the AM or
FM button. On the FM band, ST will
be displayed if the station is broad-
castinginstereo.Stereo
reproduction on AM is not available.
The SEEK f unction
searches the band for a station with
a strong signal. To activate it, press
either SEEK button ( or ), then
release it. Depending on which
SEEK button you press, the system
scans upward or downward from the
current f requency. It stops when it
finds a station with a strong signal. The SCAN function
samples all the stations with strong
signals on the selected band. To
activate it, press the SCAN button,
then release it. You will see SCAN in
the display. The system will scan up
the band for a station with a strong
signal. When it f inds one, it will stop
and play that station for
approximately f ive seconds. If you do
nothing, the system will then scan
f or the next strong station and play
that f or f ive seconds. When it plays a
station that you want to continue
listening to, press the SCAN button
again.
You can use any of f ive methods to
f ind radio stations on the selected
band: TUNE, SEEK, SCAN, AUTO
SELECT, and the preset buttons.

µThe preset f requencies will be lost if
your car’s battery goes dead, is
disconnected, or the radio f use is
removed.
Repeat steps 1 to 3 to store a total
of six stations on AM and twelve
on FM. Pick the preset button you want
for that station. Press the button
and hold it until you hear a beep. Select the desired band, AM or
FM. FM1 and FM2 let you store
two f requencies with each preset
button.
To store a f requency: You can store the
f requencies of your f avorite radio
stations in the six preset buttons.
Each button will store one f requency
on the AM band, and two
f requencies on the FM band.
UsetheTUNE,SEEK,orSCAN
function to tune the radio to a
desired station. Once a station’s f requency is stored,
simply press and release the proper
preset button to tune to it.

µIf you are
traveling far from home and can no
longer receive the stations you
preset, you can use the Auto Select
feature to find stations in the local
area.
If you are in a remote area, Auto
Select may not f ind six strong AM
stations or twelve strong FM stations.
If this happens, you will see a ‘‘0’’
displayed when you press any preset
button that does not have a station
stored. If you do not like the stations Auto
Select has stored, you can store
other f requencies in the preset
buttons. Use the TUNE, SEEK, or
SCAN f unction to f ind the desired
f requencies, then store them in the
selected preset buttons as described
previously.
Auto Select does not erase the
f requencies that you preset pre-
viously. When you return home, turn
of f Auto Select by pressing the
A. SEL button. The preset buttons
will then select the f requencies you
originally set.
To activate Auto Select, press the
A. SEL button. A. SEL will f lash in
the display, and the system will go
into scan mode f or several seconds.
It automatically scans both bands,
looking f or stations with strong
signals. It stores the f requencies of
six AM stations and twelve FM
stations in the preset buttons. You
can then use the preset buttons to
