Remote Vehicle Start
(if equipped)
Use the Remote Keyless Entry transmit
ter (key fob) to start the engine from outside the vehicle. (See the DriverInformation Center personalization menu
section to enable.) Automatic ClimateControl system vehicles will regulate theinside temperature.
To remote start the vehicle:1.Press and release the key fob Lock
button.
2. Press and hold the (Remote Start)
button until the turn signal lights flash.If the lights are not visible, hold theRemote Start button for four secondsand release.
The engine runs for 10 minutes. Extend
run time for 10 minutes from present by
pressing the Lock and Remote Start buttons again. Pressing only the Remote
Start button again will turn off the ignition. Maximum run time is 20 minutes.

Unlocking the Doors with the Key
Your vehicle’s passenger doors can be
unlocked using the driver’s door key.
With the key in the lock cylinder:
• Turn the key toward the front of the
vehicle to unlock the driver’s door.
• Turn and hold the key toward the
front of the vehicle for two seconds tounlock all doors.
• Turn and hold the key toward the rear
of the vehicle momentarily to lock alldoors.

Headlamp Controls and
Automatic Headlamp System
You will find the exterior lamps knob on
the left side of the instrument panel.
AUTO:Activates the automatic head
lamp system, illuminating all exteriorlamps and the instrument panel/radiolights when needed.
(On/Off):If the switch is in the AUTO
position but lights are off, turn them onby turning the switch to (On/Off) and
release. To turn the headlamps off whenthe lights are on, turn the control to the
position. The momentary switch
design springs back to AUTO whenreleased.
(Parking Lamps):The parking lamp
position illuminates tail/side
marker/license plate lamps and instrument panel/radio lights.

(Headlamps):The headlamps posi
tion manually activates the headlamps,
exterior tail/marker lamps and instrument panel/radio lights.
(Fog Lamps):To activate the fog
lamps, press the center of the rotary
control marked .
To switch headlamps from low to high
beam, push the multifunction lever awayfrom you. Pull it back and release forlowbeam operation.

Daytime Running Lamps (DRL)
DRL illuminates the lowbeam head
lamps at a lower intensity in daylight to
make the front of the vehicle more visi
ble to others. The DRL illuminates onlythe lowbeam headlamps, not the taillamps or side marker lamps.

Interior Lamps
The interior lamps control is located next to
the exterior lamps control on the left sideof the instrument panel. It can be set to:
(Off):This position disables the interi
or lamps entirely, whether or not a door
is open.
(Door):This position turns on the
interior lamps when a door is openedand when the ignition key is removed.
(On):This position turns on the inte
rior lamps continuously.
Instrument Panel Brightness:When
you push the center of the interior lampsknob, a springloaded stem will pop out.
Turn it right or left to adjust intensity.
Reading Lamps:Press the reading light
lens to turn on/off.

Tilt/Telescoping Steering Wheel
To adjust the tilt position of the steering
wheel, hold the wheel and pull the lever
(see “A”) on the left of the steering column toward you. Move the wheel up ordown to a comfortable level. Releasethe lever to lock.
To adjust the telescoping position of the
steering wheel, push down on the lever(see “B”) to unlock the steering wheel.Pull or push the steering wheel to thedesired position. Push up on the lever tolock the steering wheel.
Do not adjust the position of the steering
wheel while driving.

Audio Systems
Setting the Time
Press and hold the “H” button on the
sound system faceplate until the correct
hour appears on the display. “AM/PM”
appears. Press and hold M until the cor
rect minute appears. The ignition doesnot need to be turned on.
Radio Controls
(Power):
Press to turn the system on
and off.
(Volume):Turn to increase/decrease
volume.
BAND:Press to switch between AM,
FM1/FM2 and XM1/XM2 (if equipped).
INFO (if equipped with XM): Press to
display a message, artist, song title andother information.
SCV (Speed Compensated Volume):Press to select Off, Min, Med or Max
radio volume compensation as vehiclespeed increases.
Tune/Balance/Fade:Turn to select
radio stations.
To set Bass/Treble, push and release
until “BAS” or “TRE” appears. Turn to
increase or decrease. To adjust to themiddle position, press and hold until itbeeps.
Cruise Control
The cruise control buttons are located
on the steering wheel.
(On/Off):Push to turn the system
on, off or to deactivate.
SET (Set/Decelerate):To set cruise
control, press the button and accelerate to the desired speed. Press theSET button and release the accelerator.
To decrease speed when cruise is
active, press and hold the SET buttonto reach the desired speed.
• Press SET once and release to
decrease speed by 1 mph.
RES+ (Resume/Accelerate):After
setting a cruise speed and later brakingfor conditions, push the RES+ button toresume the set speed.
To increase speed from a previous
setting, press and hold the RES+ buttonto reach the desired speed or use the
accelerator.
• Press RES+ once and release to
increase speed by 1 mph.

To set Balance/Fade, push and release
until “BAL” appears to adjust Balance.
Turn the knob to move the sound toward
the right or left. Push until “FAD” appears
to adjust Fade. Turn the knob to move
the sound toward the front or rear.
To adjust all controls to the middle posi
tion, push/hold the speaker knob whenno tone or speaker control is displayed.
“ALL CEN” appears and the unit beeps.
(Seek):Press and release the
left/right Seek arrow to go to the previ
ous or next station and stay there.
To scan, press and hold either arrow for
more than two seconds. “SCAN”appears on the display and a beep
sounds. The radio finds a station, playsa few seconds and advances to thenext. Press either arrow or a pushbuttonto stop scanning.
To scan preset stations, press and hold
either arrow for more than four seconds.“PSCAN” appears and two beeps
sound. Press either arrow or a pushbutton to stop scanning presets.
Setting Preset Stations:
1. With the radio on, press BAND to
select AM/FM1/FM2 or XM1/XM2 (if equipped).
2. Tune to the desired station.
3. Press EQ to select equalization.
4. Press and hold a numbered push
button until a beep sounds.
Repeat for each pushbutton for each
band (up to 30 possible stations).
DISP (Display):With the ignition off,
press to display the time.
CD Controls
With the ignition on, insert a CD, label
side up, partway into the slot. The player
will pull it in and begin playing. To insert
with ignition off, first press eject or DISP.
1 (Reverse):Press to go to the start
of the current track if more than eightseconds have played. Hold or pressmore than once to progress backwardthrough the CD tracks.
2 (Fast Forward):Press to go to
the next track. Hold or press more thanonce to forward through the upcoming CDtracks.
4RDM (Random):Press to hear tracks
in random order. Press again to disable
random play.
(Seek):Press the left arrow to go
to the start of the current track or theprevious track. Press the right arrow togo to the start of the next track. Pressthe arrows for more than two seconds tosearch previous or next tracks. Releaseto stop searching and play the track.
DISP (Display):Press to display the
current CD track and the elapsed timethe current track has played.
BAND:Press to switch to the radio
when a CD is playing. The CD remainsinside the player.
(CD):Press to play a CD when the
radio is playing.
EQ (if equipped):Press to select cus
tomized equalization settings for C&W,Jazz, Talk, Pop, Rock and Classical
music. To return to manual mode, press
and release the Tone knob until “MANUAL” is displayed.
(Eject):Press to eject a CD, with the
ignition off or on, or the radio off. Load
CDs with the ignition off by pressing thisbutton first.

MP3Capable Uplevel Radio
(if equipped)
Play MP3 files on CDR CDs of up to
700MB capacity. To play, with the ignition on, insert the disc partway into the
slot, label side up. The player will pull itin. “READING” appears on the display
and the disc plays. Smaller, 3inch
(8cm) single CDs may be used with
an adapter ring.
3 (Repeat):Press to hear a track
over again. RPT is displayed. Press
again to disable repeat play.
5 (Previous Folder):Press to go to
the first track in the previous folder.Pressing while in the Folder Randommode takes you to the previous folderand plays random tracks there.
6(Next Folder):Press to go to the
first track in the next folder. Pressingwhile in Folder Random mode takes youto the next folder and plays randomtracks there.
SixDisc CD Player (if equipped)
To load multiple CDs in the sixdisc
CD player:
1.Turn the ignition on. Press and hold
the Load button for two seconds. The
player beeps and the light to the right
of the slot will flash. “MULTI LOAD #”is displayed.
2.When the light stops flashing and
turns green, “INSERT CD #” is
displayed. Insert a disc partway, label side up.
3. Indicator light will begin blinking and
turn green. Another disc may beloaded.
4. When loading two to five CDs, press
the Load button again after loadingthe final CD.
For every CD loaded, a number appears
on the radio display. To play a specific
disc, press CD and the number of the
CD you want to hear. A small barappears under the CD number that isplaying, and the track number appears.
Finding a Category Station
(if equipped)
Category (CAT) stations are available on
XM1 or XM2 bands only. To find a CAT
station:
1. Press the CAT button to activate
Program Type (PTY) Select mode.
2. A category is displayed.3.Rotate the Tune knob. When the
preferred category appears, press theSeek button to go to the first categorystation (Pressing Seek for more thantwo seconds will activate CategoryScan).
4. To go to another station, press the
CAT button. The previously storedcategory will be displayed.
5. Press the up or down Seek button.
6. Press the CAT button to exit Program
Type Select mode.

HomeLink®Wireless Control
System
The HomeLink system can store three
frequencies for a garage door opener,entry door lock, security system, etc.
To program, with the engine Off:
• Press and hold the two outer buttons
on the HomeLink until the indicatorlight flashes;
then release the buttons(about 20 seconds — do not hold for
more than 30 seconds); do not repeatthis step for the second or thirddevices added.
• Hold the end of your handheld trans
mitter up to three inches away fromthe surface of the HomeLink. Hold itsbutton and the button you wish toassign it to on the HomeLink system.
• Continue holding both buttons (up to
90 seconds); the indicator light will
begin blinking slowly, then more quick
ly. Programming is complete whenthe HomeLink light flashes rapidly.
• Release both buttons.
• Press and hold the HomeLink button
again. If the indicator stays lit con
stantly, programming is complete.
• Continue programming additional
devices using the remaining two
HomeLink buttons, but do not simultaneously press the two outer buttonson the HomeLink again.
If the HomeLink indicator blinks rapidly
for two seconds and remains on duringprogramming, it indicates that yourdevice (usually a garage door opener)has a “rolling code.”

Accessory Power Outlets
Your vehicle is equipped with 12volt
outlets. One is located on the center
console below the climate controls. The
second outlet is located inside the center storage console. On 6passengermodels, the second outlet is located inthe flip/fold console. Use them to powercellular phones, CB radio, etc. See your
Owner Manual for full safety and warranty cautions.
