Raise the bonnet slightly by
r e a c h i n g i n w i t h a fl a t h a n d , p a l m
down, to make access to the
lever easier. Engage the base of
the stay in the hole provided to
hold the bonnet open.
High pressure washing of
the engine compartment is
prohibited, to ensure correct
operation of the vehicle.
Sliding side door
Pull the handle towards you
then towards the rear and open
the door, guiding the rearward
movement until the point of
resistance has been passed.

Reactivation
Press the "ECO OFF" switch again.
The system is active again; this is
c o n fi r m e d b y t h e s w i t c h w a r n i n g
lamp going off and a message in the
instrument panel.
The system is reactivated
automatically at every new start
using the key. Operating fault
In the event of a malfunction
with the system, the "ECO
OFF" switch warning lamp
fl a s h e s , t h e n c o m e s o n
continuously.
Have it checked by a CITROËN dealer
o r a q u a l i fi e d w o r k s h o p .
In the event of a fault in STOP
mode, the vehicle may stall. It is then
necessary to switch off the ignition and
start the engine again using the key. Maintenance
Before working under the bonnet,
deactivate the Stop & Start system
to avoid any risk of injury resulting
from automatic operation of START
mode.

b a t t e r y w i t h a s p e c i a l s p e c i fi c a t i o n
and technology (reference numbers
available from a CITROËN dealer or a

Fitting a battery not listed by

malfunction of the system.
The Stop & Start system makes
use of advanced technology. All
work on this type of battery must
be done only by a CITROËN dealer or

Opening the bonnet
OPENING THE BONNET
Bonnet strut
Secure the strut in its location,
i d e n t i fi e d b y a s t i c k e r o n t h e l e f t - h a n d
panel side of the vehicle, to hold the
bonnet open.
Before closing the bonnet, put the strut
b a c k i n i t s c l i p w i t h o u t u s i n g e x c e s s i v e
force.
On the outside
Raise the bonnet slightly by reaching
i n a fl a t h a n d , p a l m d o w n , t o m a k e
access to the lever easier.
With this hand, push the lever to the
left. Raise the bonnet.
On the inside
Pull the lever under the fascia panel
t o w a r d s y o u . T h e b o n n e t i s u n l o c k e d .
To close
Lower the bonnet and release it at the
e n d o f i t s t r a v e l . C h e c k t h a t t h e b o n n e t
i s l o c k e d .
Avoid manoeuvring the bonnet in
strong winds.
