TEMPORARY TYRE REPAIR KIT Using the kit
The kit is located in the boot under
t h e fl o o r . I t i s i n s t a l l e d i n t h e t o o l b o x ,
l o c a t e d u n d e r t h e s t o r a g e b o x .
S w i t c h o f f t h e i g n i t i o n .
Tick the wheel to be repaired
on the speed limitation sticker
e n c l o s e d t h e n a f fi x t h e s t i c k e r
to the vehicle's steering wheel
t o r e m i n d y o u t h a t a w h e e l i s i n
t e m p o r a r y u s e .
Clip the bottle 1 on the compres-
sor 2 .
Check that the switch A is tilted
to position "0" .
Connect the pipe of the bottle 1
t o t h e v a l v e o f t h e t y r e t o b e r e -
p a i r e d .
Unwind the pipe of the compres-
sor 2 f u l l y , t h e n c o n n e c t i t t o t h e
b o t t l e .
Connect the compressor's elec-
tric plug to the vehicle's 12 V
s o c k e t .
Start the vehicle and leave the
e n g i n e r u n n i n g .
C o m p l e t e s y s t e m c o n s i s t i n g o f a
compressor and a bottle of sealant
which permits
temporary repair of
t h e t y r e s o t h a t y o u c a n d r i v e t o t h e
n e a r e s t g a r a g e .
This repair kit is available from

It is designed to repair holes of
a maximum diameter of 6 mm,
l o c a t e d e x c l u s i v e l y o n t h e t y r e

paired; contact a CITROËN dealer

Remove the compressor and
store the bottle in the plastic bag,
supplied in the kit, to avoid staining
y o u r v e h i c l e w i t h t r a c e s o f fl u i d .
D r i v e i m m e d i a t e l y f o r a p p r o x i -
m a t e l y t w o m i l e s ( t h r e e k i l o m e -
tres), at reduced speed (between
10 and 35 mph [20 and 60 km/h]),
t o fi l l t h e p u n c t u r e .
Stop to check the repair and the
p r e s s u r e .

Adjust the pressure using the
c o m p r e s s o r ( t o i n fl a t e : s w i t c h A in
position "1" ; t o d e fl a t e : s w i t c h A in
position "0" and press button B ),
in accordance with the vehicle's
t y r e p r e s s u r e l a b e l ( l o c a t e d o n t h e
door aperture on the driver's side),
then remember to check that the
l e a k i s fi l l e d c o r r e c t l y ( n o f u r t h e r
loss of pressure after several
m i l e s [ k i l o m e t r e s ] ) .
Remove the compressor, then
s t o r e t h e w h o l e k i t .
D r i v e a t r e d u c e d s p e e d ( 5 0 m p h
[80 km/h] max) for no more than
a p p r o x i m a t e l y 1 2 5 m i l e s ( 2 0 0 k m ) .
Visit a CITROËN dealer as soon as
p o s s i b l e t o h a v e t h e t y r e r e p a i r e d
o r r e p l a c e d b y a t e c h n i c i a n . I f t h e v e h i c l e i s fi t t e d w i t h t y r e u n d e r -

ence of misting on the internal sur-
face of the glass of the headlamps
and rear lamps is normal; it disap-
pears after the lamps have been on
f o r a f e w m i n u t e s .
T h e h e a d l a m p s a r e fi t t e d w i t h p o l y -
carbonate glass with a protective
coating:
do not clean them using a dry
or abrasive cloth, nor with a
detergent or solvent product,
u s e a s p o n g e a n d s o a p y w a t e r ,
when using a high pressure
washer on persistent marks, do
not direct at the lamps or their
outlines for too long, so as not to
damage their coating and their
s e a l s .

Changing a halogen bulb should
o n l y b e d o n e a f t e r t h e h e a d l a m p
