Press the "+" or "-" control paddle be-hind the steering wheel for an immedi-ate gear change up or down respec-tively.
Under heavy acceleration, a higher gear will only be engaged if the driver operates the gear lever or the controls on the steering wheel.

To aid starting on a gradient, your ve-hicle is equipped with a system that keeps it temporarily immobilised.
On a falling gradient, with the vehicle stationary and reverse gear engaged, the vehicle is held for a brief moment after releasing the brake pedal.
On a rising gradient, with the vehicle, stationary, the vehicle is held for a brief moment after releasing the brake ped-al, if you are in A or M.
