Checking tyre pressures/inflating accessories

You can also use the compressor, without
injecting any product, to:

- check or adjust the pressure of your tyres,

- inflate other accessories (balls, bicycle
tyres...).
) Connect the compressor's electricalconnector to the vehicle's 12 V socket. )
Start the vehicle and let the engine run.)
Adjust the pressure using the compressor
(to inflate: switch Bin position "I"; todeflate: switch Bin position "O"
and pressbutton C ), according to the vehicle's tyre
pressure label or the accessory's pressure label.) Remove the kit then stow it.

)Turn the selector A
to the "A ir"position.)Uncoil the black pipe Hfully. )Connect the black pipe to the
valve of the wheel or accessory.
If necessary, fit one of the adaptors supplied with the kit first.

Changing a wheel Procedure for changing a faulty wheel for the spare wheel using the tools provided with the vehicle.
The tools are installed in the boot under the floor.
To gain access to them: )open the boot, )lift the boot carpet by pulling the strap upwards, )remove the polystyrene storage box,)unclip and remove the box containing the
tools.
Access to the tools

List of tools

All of these tools are specific to your vehicle. Do not use them for other purposes.

Wheel with trim
When removing the wheel
, firstdetach the trim using the wheelbrace 1pulling at the valve passage hole. When refitting the wheel
, refit thetrim starting by placing its cut-out at the valve and press around its edge withthe palm of your hand.

3."Bolt cover" tool.
For removing the bolt protectors (covers)
on alloy wheels.4. Socket for the security wheel bolts (located
in the glove box).
For adapting the wheelbrace to the specialsecurity wheel bolts (if your vehicle is fitted
with them)

201Practical information
The spare wheel is installed in the boot under
the floor.
According to country, you will have either a
"space saver" spare wheel or a temporarypuncture repair kit.
For access to it, refer to the paragraph "Access
to the tools" on the previous page.
Access to the spare wheel
Fitting the "space-saver"type spare wheel
If your vehicle is fitted with alloywheels, it is normal to notice, whentightening the bolts on fitting, that the washers do not come into contact with the "space-saver" type spare wheel. The wheel is secured by the conical contact of each bolt.

Ta k i ng out the wheel
)
Unscrew the yellow central bolt. )
Raise the spare wheel towards you from
the rear. ) Take the wheel out of the boot.

Putting the wheel back in place
) Put the box back in place in the centre of
the wheel and clip it.
) Put the polystyrene storage box back in
place.) Refit the boot floor carpet by lightly folding
it in the middle (refer to the section"Fittings - § Storage box").

)Put the wheel back in its housing. )Unscrew the yellow central bolt by a few
turns then place it in the centre of the
wheel. )Tighten fully until the central bolt clicks toretain the wheel correctly.

On vehicles equipped with a "space-saver" type spare wheel, the puncturedwheel can be stowed in place of the "space-saver" wheel; however the bootfloor will not then be flat.

Practical information
Removing a wheel
Parking the vehicle
Immobilise the vehicle where it doesnot block traffic: the ground must belevel, stable and not slippery. Apply the parking brake, switch off the ignition and engage first gear * tolock the wheels.
If necessary, place a chock under thewheel diagonally opposite the wheel tobe changed. It is imperative that you ensure that the occupants get out of the vehicle and wait where they are safe.
Never go underneath a vehicle raised using a jack; use an axle stand.
List of operations
)
Remove the chromed bolt cover from each
of the bolts using the tool 3(alloy wheels
only). ) Fit the socket 4on the wheelbrace 1
toslacken the security bolt (if your vehicle isfitted with them).)
Slacken the other bolts using the
wheelbrace 1 only.

)Place the jack 2 in contact with one of the
two front A or rear Blocations provided on
the underbody, whichever is closest to the
wheel to be changed.
On vehicles fitted with sill finishers, the jacking location is indicated by a marking
on the finisher. The jack must be placed centrally in line with this marking, at thejacking point located behind the finisher and not on the plastic finisher itself.
)Remove the bolts and store them in a clean place. )Remove the wheel.
) Extend the jack 2
until its base plate is incontact with the ground. Ensure that the centreline of the jack base plate is directlybelow the location Aor B
used.)
Raise the vehicle until there is sufficient space between the wheel and the groundso that the spare (not punctured) wheel can
then be fitted without difficulty.

Practical information
Fitting a wheel
After changing a wheel
To store the punctured wheel in the boot correctly, first remove the centralcover. When using the "space-saver" typetemporary-use spare wheel, do not exceed 50 mph (80 km/h).Have the tightening of the bolts and thepressure of the spare wheel checkedby a CITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop without delay. Have the punctured wheel repaired and replace it on the vehicle as soon aspossible.Do not drive with more than one temporary-use spare wheel fitted to the vehicle at one time.

List of operations
)
Put the wheel in place on the hub. )
Screw in the bolts by hand.
)
Pre-tighten the security bolt (if your vehicle
is fitted with them) using the wheelbrace 1fitted with the socket 4.) Pre-tighten the other bolts using the
wheelbrace 1only.

)Lower the vehicle fully. )Fold the jack 2 and detach it. )
Tighten the security bolt (if your vehicle isfitted with them) using the wheelbrace 1fitted with the socket 4.)
Tighten the other bolts using the
wheelbrace 1 only.)
Refit the chromed bolt covers on each of
the bolts (with alloy wheels only). ) Store the tools in the box.

RACING tyres

Driving in winter conditions

The 215/40 R18 89W tyres fitted as standardare not suitable for sever winter conditions. CITROËN recommends that you use suitable
winter tyres during periods of very cold
weather.
If you want to fit snow chains or anti-slip covers to your vehicle, contacta CITROËN dealer for advice on the tyres recommended for your vehicle.

Changing a bulb

The headlamps are fitted with polycarbonate glass with a protectivecoating:)do not clean them using a dry or abrasive cloth, nor with a detergent or solvent product,)
use a sponge and soapy water, )
when using a high pressure washer on persistent marks, do notkeep the lance directed towards the lamps or their edges for too long, so as not to damage their protective coating and seals.
)Do not touch the bulb directly withyour fingers, use lint-free cloths. Changing a bulb should only be doneafter the headlamp has been switched off for a few minutes (risk of seriousburns). It is imperative to use only anti-ultraviolet (UV) type bulbs in order notto damage the headlamp. Always replace a failed bulb with a new bulb with the same type andspecification.

Front lamps
1.Direction indicators (PY21W amber).2.Sidelamps (W5W).3.Main beam headlamps (H1- 55W).4.Dipped beam headlamps (H7-55W).5.Front foglamps (PSX24W).6.
LED lamps (LEDs).

Changing direction indicator
bulbs
When refitting, close the protective cover carefully to preser ve the sealing of the headlamp.
Amber coloured bulbs, such as thedirection indicators, must be replacedwith bulbs of identical specificationsand colour.

Rapid flashing of the direction indicator warning lamp (right or left) indicates thefailure of a bulb on that side.
)Turn the bulb holder a quar ter of a turn and extract it. )Pull out the bulb and change it.
To r efit, carry out these operations in reverse
order.
Changing dipped beam headlamp
bulbs
)Remove the protective cover by pulling on
the tab. )Disconnect the bulb connector. )Spread the springs to release the bulb.)Pull the bulb out and change it.
