Fittings
To remove the shelf: )unhook the two cords, )raise the shelf slightly, then remove it.
There are several options for storing the shelf:


- either upright behind the front seats,

- or flat at the base of the boot.

Access to the storage box

An additional hook under the shelf is used to hold up the boot floor using its cord, to facilitate access to the tools and spare wheel or the temporarypuncture repair kit...

)To connect a 12 V accessory(max power: 120 W), remove the cap and connect an appropriate adaptor. )Turn the key to the ignition on position.

12 V acc essory socket

This is a removable lamp, fitted in the boot
wall, which can be used to light the boot or as
a torch.
For the boot lamp function, refer to the
"Visibility - § Boot lamp" section.
Torch


Operation

This torch operates with NiMH type
rechargeable batteries.
It has a batter
y life of approximately 45 minutes
and charges while you are driving.
Obser ve the polarities when fitting therechargeable batteries. Never replace the rechargeablebatteries with normal disposable batteries.

Fittings

Use
)Extract the torch from its location pulling it
upwards.
)Press the switch, located on the back,
to switch the torch on or off. )Unfold the suppor t, located on the back,
to set down and raise the torch; for example, when changing a wheel.

Storing
)
Put the torch back in place in its location starting with the lower part.
If
you have forgotten to switch off the torch,
this switches it off automatically.
Storage box
) Raise the boot carpet for access to
the storage box.
This has areas for the storage a box of spare
bulbs, a first aid kit, two warning triangles...
It also contains the vehicle tools, the temporarypuncture repair kit...
It the torch is not engaged correctly,it may not charge and may not come on when the boot is opened.

In the event of the electric parking brakemalfunctioning or the battery running flat, anemergency manual device can release theparking brake.)Immobilise the vehicle (or keep it
stationary, if the brake pedal is pressed),
with the engine running, by engagingfirst gear (manual gearbox), position P(automatic gearbox) or position M or R(6 -speed electronic gearbox system).
Emergency release
)
Switch off the engine but leave the ignition on. If it is not possible to immobilise the
vehicle, do not operate the control andcontact a CITROËN dealer or a qualified
workshop without delay.) Fetch the two vehicle blocks B
and the
release device C, located under the boot carpet.
)Immobilise the vehicle by placing the blocks
in front or behind the two front wheels,
opposite to the direction of the slope.)Remove the storage box under the bootcarpet for access to the emergency releasedevice.

Driving
)Pierce the protective cover Don the tube Ewith the release device. )Place the release device in the tube.)Turn the release device clockwise . For
safety reasons, it is essentialto continue
turning the device until it reaches its stop.
The parking brake is released. )Remove the release device and store it
with the blocks in the toolbox under theboot carpet.


For safety reasons, after this operationit is essential to contact a CITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop without delay to replace the protective cover.
Following an emergency unlocking,immobilisation of the vehicle is nolonger assured once the manual emergency release has been deployed
and the manual control does not allowthe re-application of your parkingbrake.
Take no action, either on the control lever A, or stopping starting the engine while the release device is engaged.
Take care not to allow moisture or dust in the proximity of the protective cover. - The operation o
f the parking brake reinitialises when the ignition is switched
off then on again. If the reinitialisation
of the parking brake proves impossible, contact a CITROËN dealer or a qualified
workshop.
- The subsequent time required for
app
lication may be longer than during
normal operation.

Temporary puncture repair kit
and a sealant car tridge which permits
temporary repair of a tyre so that you can rdrive to the nearest garage.
It is designed to repair most punctures which
could affect the tyre, located on the tyre tread or shoulder.

Access to the kit


The speed limit sticker Imust beaffixed to the vehicle's steering wheelto remind you that a wheel is intemporary use.
Do not exceed a speed of 50 mph(80 km/h) when driving with a tyre repaired using this type of kit.

Changing a wheel
Procedure for changing a faulty wheel for the spare wheel using the tools provided with the vehicle.

The tools are installed in the boot under the floor.
To gain access to them: )open the boot, )raise the floor,)secure it by hooking its cord on the hook
on the rear shelf suppor t,
)with a standard size spare wheel, unclip and remove the box in the middle of the
wheel containing the tools,

or )with a "space-saver" spare wheel; lift the
wheel at the rear towards you for access
to the storage box containing the tools.

All of these tools are specific to your vehicle. Do not use them for other purposes.

Wheel with trim
When removing the wheel, detach thetrim first using the wheelbrace 1pulling at the valve passage hole.When refitting the wheel
, refit the trim starting by placing its notch facing the valve and press around its edge withthe palm of your hand.
3."Bolt cover" tool.
For removing the bolt protectors (covers)on alloy wheels.4.Socket for the security bolts (located in theglove box).

The spare wheel is installed in the boot under
the floor.Depending on version, the spare wheel may bea standard size steel or alloy wheel, or for some countries it is the "space saver" type.
For access to the spare wheel, refer to theparagraph "Access to the tools" on the previouspage.

Tyre under-infl ation detection
The spare wheel is not fitted with asensor. The punctured wheel mustbe repaired by a CITROËN dealer or aqualified workshop.

)Unscrew the yellow central bolt. )Raise the spare wheel towards you from
the rear.)Take the wheel out of the boot.

Fitting a steel or "space-saver" spare wheel

If your vehicle is fitted with alloy wheels, when tightening the bolts onfitting it is normal to notice that thewashers do not come into contact with the steel or "space-saver" spare wheel.The wheel is secured by the conical contact of each bolt.

)Put the wheel in place on the hub. )Screw in the bolts by hand to the stop.
)Pre-tighten the security bolt using the
wheelbrace 1fitted with the security socket 4.)Pre-tighten the other bolts using the
wheelbrace 1only.
After changing a wheel
To store the punctured wheel in the boot correctly, first remove the centralcover. When using the "space-saver" typespare wheel, do not exceed 50 mph(80 km/h). Have the tightening of the bolts and thepressure of the spare wheel checked by a CITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop without delay. Have the punctured wheel repaired andreplace it on the vehicle as soon aspossible.
