AM/FM STEREO or AM/FM STEREO CD
WARNING:Driving while distracted can result in loss of vehicle
control, accident and injury. Ford strongly recommends that you

your focus off the road. Your primary responsibility is the safe operation
of the vehicle. We recommend against the use of any handheld device
while driving, encourage the use of voice-operated systems when

Note:Your audio system can operate for up to one hour after the
ignition is turned off. Press the ON/OFF control to operate the system
with the ignition turned off. The system automatically turns off after one
hour.
A.Eject:Ejects a CD.
B.Cursor arrows:Scroll through on-screen audio system choices.
C.CD slot:Insert a CD.
D.OK:Confirm on-screen selections after pressing MENU.

F.SOUND:

Setting the clock
Press the H or M buttons on the outside of the multifunction display to
access the clock settings. Once you are in the clock setting, press the H
or M button repeatedly until the desired number appears. Press OK to
confirm and close.
MENU STRUCTURE
Note:Depending on your system, some options may appear slightly
different, not at all or on-screen and able to be selected using the
function buttons.
Press MENU.
Press the up and down arrow buttons to scroll through the options (if
active).
Press the right arrow to enter a menu. Press the left arrow to exit a

ScanSelect for a brief sampling of all available

RADIO
PTY/Set categorySelect to have the system search by certain
music categories (rock, pop, country, etc.).
RBDS/RDSSelect to view additional broadcast data, if
available. This feature defaults to off. RBDS
must be on for you to set a category.
SIRIUS
ScanSelect for a brief sampling of all available
channels.
Show ESNSelect to view your satellite radio electronic
serial number (ESN). You will need this
number when communicating with SIRIUSto
activate, modify or track your account.
Channel guideSelect to view available satellite radio
channels. Press OK to select Tune Channel,
Skip Channel or Lock Channel. Once a channel
is skipped or locked, you can only access it by
pressing Direct and entering the channel
number. Locking or unlocking a channel
requires your PIN.
Set categorySelect to view channel categories (pop, rock,
news, etc.). If you select a category, seek and
scan functions will only stop on channels in
that category.
AlertsSelect to enable/disable an alert for a song,
artist or team. The system alerts you when the
selection is playing on another channel. Save
up to 20 alerts.
Unlock all stationsUse your PIN to unlock previously locked
stations.
Skip no stationsUse to unskip any channels you previously
skipped.
Parental lock (PIN)Select to create a PIN which allows you to lock
or unlock channels. Your initial PIN is 1234.

SCV levelAutomatically adjusts the volume to
compensate for speed and wind noise. You can
set the system between off and +7.
SoundAllows you to adjust sound settings such as

AUXILIARY INPUT JACK

WARNING:For safety reasons, do not connect or adjust the
settings on your portable music player while the vehicle is moving.
WARNING:Store the portable music player in a secure location,
such as the center console or the glove box, when the vehicle is
in motion. Hard objects may become projectiles in a collision or sudden
stop, which may increase the risk of serious injury. The audio extension
cable must be long enough to allow the portable music player to be
safely stored while the vehicle is in motion.
The auxiliary input jack (AIJ) allows
you to connect and play music from
your portable music player through
the vehicle speakers. You can use
any portable music player designed
for use with headphones. Your audio
extension cable must have male
one-eighth inch (3.5 millimeter)
connectors at each end.
1. Make sure the vehicle, radio and portable music player are turned off
and the vehicle is in P (Park).
2. Plug the extension cable from the portable music player into the AIJ.
3. Turn on the radio. Select either a tuned FM station or a CD.
4. Adjust the volume as desired.
5. Turn on your portable music player and adjust its volume to one–half
maximum.

6. Press AUX until LINE or LINE IN appears in the display. You should
hear music from your device even if it is low.
7. Adjust the volume on your portable music player until it reaches the
volume level of the FM station or CD. Do this by switching back and
forth between the AUX and FM or CD controls.

Satellite Radio Reception Factors
Potential satellite radio reception issues
Antenna
obstructionsFor optimal reception performance, keep the
antenna clear of snow and ice build-up and
keep luggage and other material as far away
from the antenna as possible.
TerrainHills, mountains, tall buildings, bridges,
tunnels, freeway overpasses, parking garages,
dense tree foliage and thunderstorms can
interfere with your reception.
Station overloadWhen you pass a ground-based broadcast
repeating tower, a stronger signal may
overtake a weaker one and the audio system
may mute.
Satellite radio signal
interferenceYour display may show ACQUIRING...to
indicate the interference and the audio
system may mute.
