When the indicator in the DUAL
button is off, both sides adjust to the
same temperature.
Press the DUAL button to select
dual temperature control mode (see
page ).
This button turns the air
conditioning on and of f . The
indicator above the button is on
when the A/C is on.

climate control and semi-automatic

Select the f an speed by pressing the
A/C button to view the display, then
press any of the f an control icons.
Turning this dial clockwise increases
the temperature of the airflow.
The driver and passenger can select
independent temperature settings.Press the DUAL button. The
indicator in the button will come on.
The driver and passenger can each

desired setting.

the fan speed and airflow.
Select the f an speed by pressing the
fan control buttons ( or ).
The f an speed is shown by vertical
bars in the display. Push the DUAL button. When the indicator in the button is on, turn the

Press the A/C button to turn the air

heating and cooling system are at
the base of the windshield. Keep this
area clear of leaves and other debris.
Thesystemshouldbeleftinfresh
air mode under almost all conditions.
Keeping the system in recirculation
mode, particularly with the A/C of f ,
can cause the windows to fog up.
Switch to recirculation mode when
driving through dusty or smoky
conditions, then return to fresh air
mode.This button turns the rear window
def ogger of f and on (see page ).
Use the mode control buttons or
icons to select the vents the air f lows
f rom. Some air will f low f rom the
dashboard corner vents in all modes.
Each time you press the MODE
button, the display shows the mode
selected.
Press the A/C button to view the
display, then touch any of the mode
icons on the display.

When you turn the A/C of f , the
system cannot regulate the inside
temperature if you set the
temperature control buttons below
the outside temperature. When the recirculation indicator is
on, air f rom the vehicle’s interior is
sent throughout the system again.
When the indicator is off, air is
brought in f rom the outside of the
vehicle (fresh air mode).

separately when this button is
pressed (indicator on). When the
indicator in the DUAL button is of f ,
you can adjust both sides to the
same temperature with the driver’s
side temperature control dial or
buttons. The system automatically
turns on the A/C and switches to

Air conditioning places an extra load
on the engine. Watch the engine
coolant temperature gauge (see page). If it moves near the red zone,
turn of f the A/C until the gauge
reads normally.
Press the A/C button, and the
manual A/C screen appears.
Select the desired mode and the
f an speed icons appear on the
display.
Adjustthewarmthwiththe
temperature buttons ( or ).
Turn on the A/C by pressing the
button. The indicator above the
button comes on when a f an speed
is selected. The display shows
A/C ON.
Make sure the temperature is set
to maximum cool.

If the outside air is humid, select
Recirculation mode. If the outside
air is dry, select f resh air mode.
Set the f an to the desired speed.Press the A/C button, and the
manual A/C screen appears.

Air conditioning, as it cools, removes
moisture from the air. When used in
combination with the heater, it
makes the interior warm and dry.
Once the engine is warmed up, this
setting is suitable f or all driving
conditions.To remove f og f rom the inside of the
windows:
When you switch to another mode
f rom , the A/C stays on.
Press the A/C button to turn it of f .
Turn the fan on.
Turn on the air conditioning.
Select and fresh air mode.
Adjust the temperature to your
pref erence.
Set the f an to the desired speed, or
high f or f aster def rosting.
Select . The system
automatically switches to f resh air
mode and turns on the A/C. The
A/C indicator will not come on if it
was off to start with.
Adjust the temperature so the
airf low f eels warm.
Select to help clear the
rear window.
To increase airf low to the
windshield, close the corner vents.
To cool the interior with MAX A/C:
Set the f an to the desired speed.
Select the MAX A/C mode. The
system automatically turns on the
A/C, selects and switches
to recirculation mode.
Make sure the temperature is set
to maximum cool.

In the AUTO mode, the vehicle’s
interior temperature is
independently regulated f or the
driver and passenger. If the driver’s
side of the vehicle is getting too
much sun, the system will adjust to a
lower temperature.
Select . The system
automatically switches to f resh air
mode and turns on the A/C. The
A/C indicator will not come on if it
was off to start with.
Select .
Set the f an and temperature
controls to maximum level.
The automatic climate control
system adjusts the f an speed and
airflow levels to maintain the interior
temperature you select.
Press the Auto button. With
navigation system, the indicator in
the button comes on.
To clear the windows f aster, you can
close the dashboard corner vents by
rotating the wheel below each vent.
This sends more warm air to the
windshield def roster vents. Once the
windshield is clear, select f resh air
mode to avoid f ogging the windows.
For your saf ety, make sure you have
a clear view through all the windows
bef ore driving. Set the desired temperature by
pressing the to raise the
temperature or the to lower the
temperature. The selected
temperature will show in the upper
display.
Set the desired temperature by
turning the temperature control
dial. You will see AUTO in the
system’s display.

In cold weather, the f an will not
come on automatically until the
heater starts to develop warm air. Making any manual selection causes
thewordAUTOinthedisplaytogo
out.
The system automatically selects the
proper mix of conditioned and/or
heated air that will, as quickly as
possible, raise or lower the interior
temperature to your pref erence.
You can manually select various
f unctions of the climate control
system when it is in f ully automatic
mode. All other f eatures remain
automatically controlled.
If you press the A/C button next to
the display, the manual selections
will show in the display. Making any
manual selection causes the
indicator in the AUTO button to turn
off.
When you set the temperature to its
lower limit ( ) or its upper limit
( ), the system runs at f ull
cooling or heating only. It does not
regulate the interior temperature.
When
the indicator in the dual button is on,
the driver’s side and passenger’s side
temperature can be controlled
independently (see page ). When the climate control system is
turned OFF, the temperature in the
upper display will also turn of f . To keep stale air and mustiness
f rom collecting, you should have
the f an running at all times.
Keep the system completely of f
f or short periods only.
Turningthefanspeedand

to the left shuts off the system
completely.
If you press OFF, the climate control
system shuts of f completely.

lower limit or its upper limit, it will be

To set the driver’s side temperature
to a different value than the
passenger’s, press the DUAL button,
then turn the driver’s control dial or
press the or buttons on the
driver’s side. To set the passenger’s
side to a dif f erent value than the
driver’s, turn the passenger’s control
dial or press the or buttons on
the passenger’s side. You can adjust
the passenger’s side without
pressing the DUAL button first.
Push AUTO or . The selected
temperatures appears in the display
(in the upper display with the
navigation system). When the
indicator in the DUAL button is of f ,
you can adjust both sides to the
same temperature by adjusting the
driver’s side temperature control dial
or buttons.
