Make sure the shif t lever is in the
Park (P) position.
Turn the ignition switch to the ON
(II) position, and open the driver’s
door.
Your vehicle has customizable
settings f or the doors and tailgate to
automatically lock and unlock. There
are default settings for each of these
f eatures. You can turn of f or change
the settings for these features as
described on the f ollowing pages.
When you customize the setting,
make sure your vehicle is parked
saf ely, the engine is of f , and the
parking brake is applied. Make all
settings bef ore you start driving.
To change the ‘‘AUTO DOOR
LOCK’’ setting, see page .
To change the ‘‘AUTO DOOR
UNLOCK’’ setting, see page . The auto door locking f eature has
three possible settings:
The auto door locking is
deactivated all the time.
The doors and tailgate lock
whenever you move the shif t lever
out of the Park (P) position.
The doors and tailgate lock when
the vehicle speed reaches 9 mph
(15 km/h).

Some exterior lights will f lash twice
when you push the button. If you do
not open any door or the tailgate
within 30 seconds, they will
automatically relock.

RELOCK TIMER’’ setting, see page .
Press this button once to
lock all doors and the tailgate. Some
exterior lights will f lash. When you
push LOCK twice within 5 seconds,
you will hear a beep to verify that the
doors and tailgate are locked and the
security system has set. This button
does not work if any door or tailgate
is not f ully closed. To change the ‘‘KEYLESS LOCK

When the light control switch is in theposition:
On vehicles with navigation system

After all doors are closed tightly, the
lights dim slightly, then f ade out in
about 30 seconds.
Turn on the f ront row individual map
lights by pushing the lens. Push the
lens again to turn it off. With the
light control switch in the door
activated position, the second row
and third row map lights can be
turned on by pushing the lens. Push
the lens again to turn it off.

The lights also come on when the
key is removed f rom the ignition
switch. Withanydoororthetailgateleft
open, the lights stay on about 15
minutes, then go out. All the individual map lights come on

The courtesy light between the f ront
map lights comes on when you turn
the parking lights on. To adjust its
brightness, turn the instrument
panel brightness control dial on the
dashboard (see page ).The courtesy lights in all f our doors
come on when you open any door.
The light around the ignition switch
only comes on when you open the
driver’s door. Af ter you close the
door, the ignition switch light stays
on f or several seconds.

The cargo area light has a three-
position switch. In the OFF position,
the light does not come on. In the
center position, the light comes on
when you open the tailgate or the
glass hatch. In the ON position, the
light stays on continuously.

Press the fan control button
to increase the f an speed and airf low.

decrease it. The level of the f an
speed is shown in the display.
Each time you press the mode
button, the mode display changes

When is selected, air f lows
f rom the upper vents on the back of
the center console.

f rom the lower vents. Pressing the AUTO button puts the
system in automatic operation mode.
The rear system automatically
adjusts the fan speed and airflow
levels to maintain the selected
temperature of the rear passenger
compartment. You will see AUTO in
the display.
To shut of f the rear climate control
system, press the OFF button until
the system shuts off.
The temperatures of the driver’s side
and the front passenger’s side are
controlled independently.
When the RR (REAR) LOCK button
is of f , the temperature of the rear
passenger compartment can be
controlled independently.
To adjust each temperature, press
either of the temperature control
buttons ( or ) on the climate
control panel.

disc slot. The drive will pull the disc

operate the disc player with the
same controls used f or the radio.
The number of the current track is

play a disc until you change modes.

You can use the SKIP buttons while
a disc is playing to select passages
and change tracks (files in MP3/
WMA mode).
Each time you press and
release the SKIP button, the
player skips f orward to the
beginning of the next track (f ile in
MP3 or WMA mode). Press and
release the to skip backward to
the beginning of the current track.
Press it again to skip to the
beginning of the previous track.
To move rapidly within a track, press
andholdthe or SKIP
button.
The display shows up to about 14
characters of selected text data (the
foldername,filename,etc.).If the
text data has more than 14
characters, you will see the first 14
characters and the indicator in
the display. Press and hold the
TITLE button until the next 14
characters are shown.
You will also see some text data
under these conditions:
When a new f older, f ile, or track is
selected.
When you change the audio mode
to play a disc with text data or in
MP3 or WMA.
When you insert a disc, and the
system begins to play.
When playing a CD-DA with text
data, the album and track name are

If any letter is not available, it is
replaced with ‘‘ . ’’ (dot) in the display.

Each time you press and release the
RPTsideof thebar,themode
changes f rom f ile repeat to f older
repeat, then to normal play. This f eature plays the
tracks within a disc (the f iles in MP3
or WMA mode) in random order. To
activate random play, press and
release the RDM side of the RPT/
RDM bar. In MP3 or WMA mode,
presstheRDMsideof thebar
repeatedly to select RDM (within a
disc random play). You will see RDM
in the display. Press the RDM side of
the bar for 2 seconds to return to
normal play.
To
select a dif f erent f older, press either
side of the FOLDER bar. Press the side of the bar to skip to the next
f older, and the side of the bar to
skip to the beginning of the previous
f older.
To continuously replay
a track (f iles in MP3 or WMA mode),
press and release the RPT side of
theRPT/RDMbar.YouwillseeRPT
in the display. Press and hold the
RPTsidefor2secondstoturnitoff. This feature,
when activated, replays all f iles in
the selected f older in the order they
are compressed. To activate folder
repeat, press the RPT side of the
RPT/RDM bar twice. You will see
F-RPT in the display. The system
continuously replays the current
folder. Press the RPT side of the bar
again to turn it off. Pressing the
RDM side of the bar, or selecting a
different folder with the FOLDER

The system plays the f irst f ile in the
f irst f older f or about 10 seconds. If
you do nothing, the system will then
play the f irst f iles in the next f olders
f or 10 seconds. Af ter playing the f irst
file in the last folder, the system
plays normally.
Pressing either of the SKIP buttons
also turns off the scan feature. This
feature, when activated, samples the
f irst f ile in each f older on the disc.
To activate folder scan, press the
SCAN button twice. You will see
F-SCAN in the display.
Pressing either of the SKIP buttons,
selecting a dif f erent f older with the
FOLDER bar, or pressing the SCAN
button, also turns off the folder scan.
Each time you press and release the
SCAN button, the mode changes
from file scan to folder scan, then to
normal play.
This
feature, when activated, plays all
f iles in the selected f older in random
order. To activate f older random,
presstheRDMsideof theRPT/
RDM bar. You will see F-RDM in the
display. The system will then select
and play f iles randomly. This
continues until you deactivate f older
random by pressing and holding the
RDM side of the bar again, or by
selecting a dif f erent f older with the
FOLDER bar.
Each time you press and release the
RDMsideof thebar,themode
changes f rom f older random play to
random play (within a disc random
play), then to normal play. The scan f unction samples all tracks
(f iles in MP3 or WMA) on the disc in
the order they are recorded on the
disc. To activate scan, press and
release the SCAN button. You will
see SCAN in the display. You will get
a10secondsamplingof eachtrack/
f ile on the disc. Press and hold the
SCAN button until you hear a beep
to get out of scan mode and play the
last track/f ile sampled.

To listen to XM Radio, turn the
ignition switch to the ACCESSORY
(I) or ON (II) position, and press the
button. The last channel you
listened to will show in the display.
Adjust the volume by turning the
power/volume knob.

TITLE button, the display changes in
the f ollowing sequence: name, title,
and category.
You may experience periods when
XM Radio does not transmit the
artist’s name and song title
inf ormation. If this happens, there is
nothing wrong with your system.
To switch between
channel mode and category mode,
either press and hold the TITLE
button until the mode changes, or
press and release the selector knob.
In the channel mode, you can select
all of the available channels. In the
category mode, such as Jazz, Rock,
Classical, etc., you can select all of
the channels within that category.
XM Radio receives signals f rom two
satellites to produce clear, high-
quality digital reception. It of f ers
many channels in several categories.
Along with a large selection of
dif f erent types of music, XM Radio
allows you to view channel and
category selections in the display.
