Mist Wiper Operation B350C01S-AAT Adjustable Intermittent Wiper Operation To use the intermittent wiper feature, place the wiper switch in the "INT" position. With the switch in this posi-tion, the interval between wipes can be varied from 2 to 10 seconds by turning the interval adjuster barrel.B390A01E-AAT Rear Window Wiper And Washer
1. : The rear window wiper starts
to operate three times after the washer fluid sprays onto the rear window.
2.OFF 3.INT: The interval between wipes op- erates every 5 seconds inter-mittently.
4.ON : The rear window wiper starts
to operate continuously.
5. : The washer fluid will be sprayed onto the rear window and thewiper operates while the rearwindow wiper barrel is placed in this position.

B360B01A-AAT Front Fog Light Switch (If installed) To turn on the front fog lights, push the switch. They will light when the head-light switch is in the second position and the ignition key is in the "ON" position. B360A01Y-GAT Rear Fog Light Switch (If installed) To turn on the rear fog lights, push the switch. They will come on when the headlight switch is in the second posi-tion and the key is in the "ON" position.
Do not operate the washer continu-ously for more than 15 seconds orwhen the fluid reservoir is empty; this could damage the system. Do not op- erate the wiper when the window isdry; this can result in scratching as well as premature wiper blade wear. For the reason stated above,do notoperate the washer when the washer fluid reservoir is empty.

61HAZARD WARNING SYSTEM
B370A01A-AAT The hazard warning system should be used whenever you find it necessaryto stop the car in a hazardous situa- tion. When you must make such an emergency stop, always pull off theroad as far as possible. The hazard warning lights are turned on by pushing in the hazard switch.This causes all turn signal lights to blink. The hazard warning lights will operate even though the key is not inthe ignition. To turn the hazard warning lights off, push the switch a second time.

REAR WINDOW DEFROSTER SWITCH
B380A02A-AAT The rear window defroster and heated outside rearview mirrors are turned on by pushing in the switch. To turn the defroster off, push the switch a secondtime. The rear window defroster auto- matically turns itself off after about 20 minutes. To restart the defroster cycle,push in the switch again after it has turned itself off. CAUTION:
Do not clean the inner side of the rear window glass with an abrasive type of glass cleaner or use a scraper to remove foreign deposits fromthe inner surface of the glass as this may cause damage to the de- froster elements. NOTE: The engine must be running for the rear window defroster to operate.

62CIGARETTE LIGHTERINSTRUMENT PANEL LIGHT CONTROL (RHEOSTAT)
B410A01A-AAT (If Installed) The instrument panel lights can be made brighter or dimmer by turning the instrument panel light control knob. B420A02A-AAT For the cigarette lighter to work, the key must be in the "ACC" position orthe "ON" position. To use the cigarette lighter, push it all the way into its socket. When theelement has heated, the lighter will pop out to the "ready" position. Do not hold the cigarette lighter pressedin. This can damage the heating ele- ment and create a fire hazard. If it is necessary to replace the ciga-rette lighter, use only a genuine Hyundai replacement or its approved equiva- lent.

B400A01GK-GAT There are three control buttons for the digital clock. Their functions are: H - Push "H" to advance the hour indi-
cated.
M - Push "M" to advance the minute
indicated.
R - Push "R" to reset minutes to ":00"
to facilitate resetting the clock to the correct time. When this is done: Pressing "R" between 11 : 01 and 11: 29 changes the readout to 11 : 00. Pressing "R" between 11 : 30 and 11 : 59 changes the readout to 12 : 00.
Push the "R" button for 3 seconds to display a 12 or 24-hour clock. OGK046056

DRINK HOLDERASHTRAY
B430A01GK-AAT The front ashtray may be opened by pushing and releasing the ashtray door at its top edge.To remove the ashtray in order to clean it, the metal ash receptacle should be lifted out from the ashtray door. Donot attempt to remove the entire ash- tray door assembly or damage will result. To reinstall it, place it in theproper position and press it down in the ashtray door. The ashtray lamp will only illuminate when the exterior bodylights are switched on. B450A02GK-GAT (If Installed) The drink holder is used for holding cups or cans. To use the passenger's drink holder,push the drink holder.

64HEADLIGHT LEVELING DEVICE SYSTEM
B340G01A-GAT (If Installed) To adjust the headlight beam level according to the number of the pas- sengers and the loading weight in theluggage area, turn the beam leveling switch. The higher the number of the switchposition, the lower the headlight beam level. Always keep the headlight beam at the proper leveling position, or head-lights may dazzle other road users. Listed below are the examples of proper switch settings. For loading conditionsother than those listed below, adjust the switch position so that the beam level may be the nearest as the condi-tion obtained according to the list. Switch position

B470A01GK-AAT (If Installed) The sunshade can be opened and closed by sliding it forward or rearward when the sunroof is closed. The sunshadewill open automatically when the sunroof is opened, but it must be closed manu- ally. OGK046019

Never adjust the sunshade while driv- ing. This could result in loss of con- trol and an accident that may cause death, serious injury, or propertydamage.

SUNROOF
B460A01S-AAT (If Installed) The sunroof can be operated with the ignition key in the "ON" position. B460B03GK-GAT Opening the Sunroof System Release the button when the sunroof reaches the desired position.
The sunroof can be electrically openedor closed with the ignition key in the"ON" position. The sunroof is moved to its fully open position by pushing the " " button, and to stop at the desiredposition, push in any buttons ( , , Up, Down). To close, press and hold the " " button. WARNING:
Be careful that someone’s head,hands and body are not trapped by aclosing sunroof.

WARNING:
o Do not close a sunroof if anyone's hands, arms or body are between the sliding glass and the sunroof sash, as this could result in injury.
o Do not place your head or arms out of the sunroof opening at anytime.
o While the vehicle is moving, al- ways keep the head, hands andother parts of the body of all occu-pants away from the roof opening. Otherwise, you could be seriously injured if the vehicle stops sud- denly or if the vehicle is involved in an accident. CAUTION:
o Do not open the sunroof in se- verely cold temperature or when itis covered with ice or snow.
o Periodically remove any dirt that may have accumulated on theguide rails.
o Do not press any sunroof control button longer than necessary.Damage to the motor or systemcomponents could occur.
B460C01GK-AAT Tilting the Sunroof System To use the auto tilt feature, press the UP button on the overhead console. The sunroof will tilt all the way open. Tostop the sunroof tilting at any point, press any sunroof control button. To close the sunroof, press the DOWN button on the overhead console and hold it until the sunroof is closed. NOTE: After washing the car or after there is rain, be sure to wipe off any waterthat is on the sunroof before operat- ing it.

B460D03GK-AAT Manual Operation of Sunroof If the sunroof does not electrically op- erate:
1. Remove the cap located in the rear roof panel by using a coin or screw driver. 2. Insert the hexagonal head wrench
provided with the vehicle into the socket. This wrench can be found in the vehicle's trunk or glove box.
3. Push and turn the wrench clockwise
to close or counterclockwise to openthe sunroof.

OGK046021 B460E03GK-GAT Resetting the Sunroof System If the battery has been recharged, disconnected or if the sunroof is oper-ated with the hexagonal head wrench manually, you may need to reset the sunroof. To do this;
1. Turn the ignition switch "OFF".
2. With pressing " " "up" button at the
same time, turn the ignition switch"ON". The resetting is failed when the ignition key to the "OFF" within1.5 seconds.
3. If the sunroof is set like this, the sunroof is reset with tilting up/down automatically once for all.
CAUTION:
If the sunroof is not reset, it may not be operated properly.

SPECTACLE CASEMAP LIGHT

(1) Push in the map light switch to turn on the driver side light.
(2) In the "DOOR" position, the interior courtesy light comes on when any door is opened regardless of theignition key position. The light goes out gradually 6 seconds after the door is closed.
(3) Push in the map light switch to turn on the front passenger side light. B491A03O-GAT (If Installed) The spectacle case is located on the front overhead console. Push the end of the cover to open thespectacle case.
WARNING:
o Do not keep objects such as sharp or unsuitable things inside thespectacle case. Such objects canbe thrown out in the event of a sudden stop or an accident, pos- sibly injuring the passengers inthe vehicle.
o Do not open the spectacle case
while the vehicle is moving. Therear view mirror of the vehicle can be blocked by an open spectacle case.
