the hook after pulling it up.
3. Lower the side gate slowly with it

1. Lift the side gate up and lock the side
gate handle in place.
!WARNING:
When locking the side gate handle, be careful not to get your fingers intothe chink in the handle.

STEERING WHEEL TILT LEVER

To Adjust the Steering Wheel:
1. Push the lever and hold it to unlock.
2. Raise or lower the steering wheel to the desired position.
3. After adjustment, release the lever.
WARNING:
Do not attempt to adjust the steering wheel while driving as this may re-sult in loss of control of the vehicle which may cause serious injury or death. OHR028108

SUN VISOR
Your Hyundai is equipped with sun visors to give the driver and front pas- senger either frontal or sideward shade. To reduce glare or to shut out directrays of the sun, turn the sun visor down. Ticket holders are provided on the back of the sun visor for the driver and frontpassenger.

4. Center Ventilator B710B01S-AAT CENTER VENTILATOR The center ventilators are located in the middle of the dashboard. The directionof air flow from the vents in the center of the dashboard is adjustable. To control the direction of the air flow,move the knob in the center of the vent up-and-down and side-to-side. B710C02HP-AAT SIDE VENTILATOR The side ventilators are located on each side of dashboard. To change thedirection of the air flow, move the knob in the center of the vent up-and-down and side-to-side.The vents are opened when the vent knob is moved to " " position. The vents are closed when the vent knob ismoved to " ". Keep these vents clear of any obstructions.

Face-Level
Selecting the "Face" mode will cause air to be discharged through the face level vents.

Air is discharged through the face vents and the floor vents. This makes it possible to have cooler air from the dashboard vents and warmer air fromthe floor outlets at the same time. Floor-Level

Defrost-Level
Air is discharged through the wind- shield defroster nozzle, side defroster nozzle, side ventilator.
This control is used to adjust the degree of heating or cooling desired.

B670B01A-AAT Fan Speed Control (Blower Control) This is used to turn the blower fan on or off and to select the fan speed. This blower fan speed, and thereforethe volume of air delivered from the system, may be controlled manually by setting the blower control betweenthe "1" and "4" positions. HHR2086

With the "Fresh" mode selected, air enters the vehicle from the outside andis heated or cooled according to the function selected. With the "Recirculation" mode selected, air from within the passenger compart- ment will be drawn through the heatingsystem and heated or cooled according to the function selected. NOTE: It should be noted that prolonged operation of the heating in "Recircu- lation" mode ( ) will give rise to fogging of the windshield and sidewindows and the air within the pas- senger compartment will become stale. In addition, prolonged use ofthe air conditioning with the "Recir- culation" mode ( ) selected may result in the air within the passengercompartment becoming excessively dry.
B670C01E-AAT Air Intake Control
This is used to select fresh outside air or recirculating inside air. To change the air intake control mode(Fresh mode, Recirculation mode), push the control button. FRESH MODE ( ) : The indicator
light on the button goes off when the air intake control is fresh mode. RECIRCULATION MODE ( ): The
indicator light on the button is illumi- nated when the air intake control is recirculation mode. OHR028116B690A01HR-GAT For normal heating operation, set the air intake control to the fresh air ( ) position and the air flow control to thefloor ( ) position.

Your Hyundai is equipped with bi-level heating controls. This makes it pos- sible to have cooler air from the dash-board vents and warmer air from the floor outlets at the same time. To use this feature:
o Set the air intake control to the fresh air ( ) position.
o Set the air flow control at the bi-level
( ) position.
o Set the temperature control between
"Cool" and "Warm".

For faster heating, the air intake control should be set in the recirculate ( )position. If the windows fog up, set the air flow control to the defrost ( ) position and the air intake control to the fresh air ( ) position. For maximum heat, move the tempera- ture control to "Warm".
