B500B01HP-DAT MULTI BOX The multi box may be opened by pull- ing it out by its grip. It is used for storing small articles. HHP2174B505A01HP-GAT Center Console Box The center console box is used for storing cassette tape or small articles. To use the center console box, press the button (1) or (2) and pull up the lid. WARNING:
To avoid the possibility of injury incase of an accident or a sudden stop, the center console box lid should be kept closed when the caris in motion.

B510A01A-AAT Manual Type The outside rearview mirrors are equipped with a remote control for your convenience. It is operated by thecontrol lever in the bottom front corner of the window. Before driving away, always checkthat your mirrors are positioned so you can see behind you, both to the left and right sides, as well as directly behindyour vehicle. When using the mirror, always exercise caution when attempt- ing to judge the distance of vehiclesbehind or along side of you. B510A01HP
CAUTION:
If the mirror control is jammed with ice, do not attempt to break it free using the control handle or by ma-nipulating the face of the mirror. Use an approved spray de-icer (not radiator antifreeze) to release thefrozen mechanism or move the ve- hicle to a warm place and allow the ice to melt.

B505B01HP-GAT Center Console Armrest To use the center console armrest, press the locking release button. NOTE: When not in use, fix the console armrest by pushing down it with the locking release button pressed. HHP2172

1. Move the selecting switch to the
right or left to activate the adjustable mechanism for the correspondingdoor mirror.
2. Adjust mirror angle by depressing

The outside rearview mirrors can be adjusted to your preferred rear vision,both directly behind the vehicle, and to the rear of the left and right sides. The remote control outside rearviewmirror switch controls the adjustments for both right and left outside mirrors. CAUTION:
o Do not operate the switch con- tinuously for an unnecessarylength of time.
o Scraping ice from the mirror face could cause permanent damage.To remove any ice, use a sponge, soft cloth or approved de-icer.

!WARNING:
Be careful when judging the size or distance of any object seen in thepassenger side rearview mirror. It is a convex mirror with a curved surface. Any objects seen in thismirror are closer than they appear.

B510C01A-AAT FOLDING THE OUTSIDE REAR- VIEW MIRRORS To fold the outside rearview mirrors, push them towards the rear.The outside rearview mirrors can be folded rearward for parking in narrow areas.
WARNING:
Do not adjust or fold the outside rearview mirrors while the vehicle is moving. This could result in lossof control, and an accident causing death, serious injury or property damage. HHP2076B510D02HP-GAT OUTSIDE REARVIEW MIRROR HEATER (If Installed) The outside rearview mirror heater is actuated in connection with the front/rear window defroster. To heat the outside rearview mirror glass, push in the switch for the front/rear windowdefroster. The rearview mirror glass will be heated for defrosting or defog- ging and will give you improved rearvision in inclement weather conditions. Push the switch again to turn the heater off. The outside rearview mirror heaterautomatically turns itself off after 20 minutes. HHP2119

B520B01O-GAT (Electric type) (If Installed) The electric type day/night inside rear- view mirror controls automatically the glare of headlights of the car behindyou. Adjust the rearview mirror to the desired position. B530A01A-AAT
Always engage the parking brake be-fore leaving the car. This also turns on the parking brake indicator light when the key is in the "ON" or "START" position. Before driving away, be surethat the parking brake is fully released and the indicator light is off.
o To engage the parking brake, pull the lever up as far as possible.
o To release the parking brake, pull up the lever and press the thumb button. Then, while holding the but- ton in, lower the brake lever.
B520A01A-AAT Your Hyundai is equipped with a day/ night inside rearview mirror. The "night" position is selected by flipping the tab at the bottom of the mirror toward you. In the "night" position, the glare ofheadlights of cars behind you is re- duced.

o The tail gate can be locked or un- locked with a key.
o The tail gate is opened by pulling the outside handle up, raising the tail gate manually.
o To close, lower the tail gate, then press down on it until it is closed. Tobe sure the tail gate is fully closed,always try to pull it up again without using the outside handle. B800A01HP-AAT (If Installed) The CD Auto Changer is located in the right side of the luggage compartment. This system can store up to 8 CDs.You may select music without chang- ing discs. First, open the CD Auto Changer door, remove the CD maga-zine, and insert up to 8 CDs. Then, push the magazine into the CD Auto Changer. The CD may be operatedwith the passenger compartment au- dio system controls. NOTE: The magazine can be taken out when the ignition key is in the "ON" posi- tion.HHP2185

B540D02HP-DAT Luggage Net Some objects can be kept in the net at the luggage compartment. Use the luggage net on the floor or atthe back of the luggage compartment to prevent objects from sliding. CAUTION:
To prevent damage to the goods or the vehicle, care should be taken when carrying fragile or bulky ob- jects in the luggage compartment.
WARNING:
Avoid eye injury. DO NOT over-stretch. ALWAYS keep face and body out of recoil path. DO NOT use when strap has visible signs ofwear or damage.
B540C01HP-GAT Luggage Compartment Light Luggage compartment light has a 3- position switch. The three positions are:
o In the "MIDDLE" position, the lug-
gage compartment light comes on when the tail gate is opened, then goes out when it is closed.
o In the "ON" position, the light stays on at all times.
o In the "OFF" position, the light stays

1. Do not place objects on the cargo security screen. Such objects may be thrown about inside the vehicle and possibly injure vehicle occu- pants during an accident or whenbraking.
2. For better fuel economy, do not
carry unnecessary weight.
3. Never allow anyone to ride in the luggage compartment. It is designedfor luggage only.
4. Try to maintain the balance of the vehicle and locate the weight as farforward as possible. B630A01HP-GAT (If Installed) If your Hyundai has a roof rack, you can load things on top of your vehicle. The two cross bars (1) on the roof rackcan be repositioned forward and rear- ward for conveniently loading cargo or luggage. With an assistant on the op-posite side of the vehicle, press and hold the slider lock buttons (2) on each side, then move the cross bar to thedesired position. The cross bars automatically lock when the slider lock buttons are released.

moderate speed.

In addition to the lower-mounted rear stop lights on either side of the car, the high mounted rear stop light in thecenter of the rear window also lights when the brakes are applied.
! CAUTION:
o The cross bars should be posi- tioned before carrying a load on the roof rack.
o In case the sunroof is equipped, do not position roof rack loadsthat could interfere with opening of the sunroof.
o The following specifications are recommended when loadingcargo or luggage.
o Loading cargo or luggage above 34 kg (75 lb) on the roof rack maydamage your vehicle. When you carry large objects, never let them hang over the rearor the sides of your vehicle.
o To prevent damage or loss of

If you need to replace the filler cap, use agenuine Hyundai replacement part. If you open the fuel filler cap during high ambient temperatures, a slight"pressure sound" may be heard. REMOTE FUEL-FILLER LID RELEASE
B560A01HP-GAT The fuel-filler lid may be opened from inside the vehicle by pulling up on the fuel-filler lid release lever located be- low the right of the driver's side crash pad. NOTE: If the fuel-filler lid will not open because ice has formed around it, tap lightly or push on the lid tobreak the ice and release the lid. Do not pry on the lid. If necessary, spray around the lid with an ap-proved de-icer fluid (do not use radiator anti-freeze) or move the vehicle to a warm place and allowthe ice to melt. B560A01HP
