DESCRIPTION OF “CAN DIAG SUPPORT MNTR” SCREEN
FOR ICC SENSOR INTEGRATED UNIT
Display Results (Present)
OK: Normal
UNKWN: The diagnosed unit does not transmit or receive the applicable data normally.
–: There is no received unit or the unit is not in the condition that reception diagnosis is performed.
Display Results (Past)
OK: Normal
0: There is malfunction now.
1 ~ 39: Displays when it is normal at present and finds malfunction in the past. It increases like 012...3839 after returning to the
normal condition whenever IGN OFF
ON. If it is over 39, it is fixed to 39 until the self-diagnostic results are erased. It returns to 0

CAN COMMUNICATION
Revision: 2006 January2006 M35/M45
CAN COMMUNICATIONPFP:23710
System DescriptionNKS003XV
CAN (Controller Area Network) is a serial communication line for real time application. It is an on-vehicle mul-
tiplex communication line with high data communication speed and excellent error detection ability. Many elec-
tronic control units are equipped onto a vehicle, and each control unit shares information and links with other
control units during operation (not independent). In CAN communication, control units are connected with 2
communication lines (CAN H line, CAN L line) allowing a high rate of information transmission with less wiring.
Each control unit transmits/receives data but selectively reads required data only.
