The light remains on after the ignition key is turned to ºONº.
 The light comes on with the normal driving mode while
driving.
 The light flashes.
(o)ºVSCº Warning Light (With vehicle stability
control system)
This light warns that there is a problem somewhere in the
vehicle stability control system or traction control system.
The light will come on when the ignition key is turned to the
ºONº position and will go off after a few seconds.
If the light comes on while driving, the vehicle stability control
system and traction control system do not work. However, as
conventional braking operates when applied, there is no
problem to continue your driving.
In the following cases, contact your Lexus dealer:
The warning light does not come on after the ignition key is
turned to the ºONº position.
 The warning light remains on after the ignition key is turned
to the ºONº position.
 The warning light comes on while driving.
The ºTRAC OFFº indicator / warning light will come on when
the ºVSCº warning light comes on even if the ºTRAC OFFº
switch is not pushed.
(p) Automatic Headlight Leveling System Warning Light
This light warns that when there is a problem somewhere in the
automatic headlight leveling system.
The light will come on when the ignition key is turned to the
ºONº position, and will go off after a few seconds.
If it comes on while driving, have your vehicle checked by your
Lexus dealer.
(q) Key Reminder Buzzer
This buzzer reminds you to remove the key when you open the
driver's door with the ignition key in the ºACCº or ºLOCKº
position.

How to check all the service reminder
indicators
(except the low fuel level warning light):
1. Apply the parking brake.
2. Open the door.
The following service reminder indicator should come on. It
goes off when you close the door completely.
3. Turn the ignition key to ºACCº.
The following service reminder indicator should come on. It
goes off after about 6 seconds.
4. Turn the ignition key to ºONº.
The following service reminder indicators should come on.

The following service reminder indicators go off after a few
seconds.

The lights other than the slip indicator light may stay on for
about 60 seconds after the engine is started. It is normal if they
go out after a while.
If any service reminder indicator or warning buzzer does not
function as described above, have it checked by your Lexus
dealer as soon as possible.

To use the vanity mirrors, swing the sun visor down and
open the cover.
The vanity light comes on when you open the cover.

1To block out glare from the front , swing the sun visor
down.
2To block out glare from the side, remove the sun visor
from the hook and swing it to the side.

INTERIOR LIGHT

To turn on the interior light, slide the switch.
With the switch in the ºDOORº position, the light comes on
when any door is opened. After all the doors are closed, the
light remains on for about 15 seconds and then goes out.
However, in the following cases, the light goes out
immediately:
1. All the doors are closed when the ignition key is in ºACCº
or ºONº position.
2. The ignition key is turned to ºACCº or ºONº when the light
is still on.
3. All the doors are locked when the light is still on.
4. One door is closed with the lock button pushed in while the
other doors are locked.

To turn on the personal light, push the switch. To turn it
off, push the switch again.

IGNITION SWITCH LIGHT

For easy access to the ignition switch, the ignition switch
light comes on when any of the doors are opened.
The light remains on for about 15 seconds and goes out after
all the doors are closed. However, the light goes out
immediately when all the doors are locked or the ignition key
is in the ºACCº or ºONº position.
LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT LIGHT

To turn on the luggage compartment light, open the back
door or push the switch. Closing the back door will turn
the light off.

The digital clock indicates the time with the ignition key at
the ºACCº or ºONº position. To reset the hour, press the
ºHº button. To reset the minutes, press the ºMº button.
To adjust the time to the nearest hour, press the º:00º
button.
For example, if the º:00º button is pressed when the time is
between 9:30 - 9:59 or between 10:01 - 10:29, the time will
change to 10:00.
If the electrical power source has been disconnected from the
clock, the time display will automatically be set to 1:00 (one
o'clock).
When the headlight switch is in the first or second click stop,
you can also adjust the brightness of the display using the
instrument panel light control dial.

This display shows the outside temperature when the
ignition switch is on.

INTERIOR EQUIPMENT
64The displayed temperature ranges from -30C (-22F) up to
50 C (122 F). The display flashes for 10 seconds when the
outside temperature goes down below 3 C (37F) or less and
informs you that the outside temperature is low. The warning
is repeated whenever the temperature rises to at least +5 C
(+41 F) and then sinks again to +3C (37F). If the
temperature does not appear on the display or it shows º- -º,
take your vehicle to your Lexus dealer.
CAUTION
The outside air temperature indicator is designed to
inform you when the air temperature is near freezing.
This indicator does not detect the presence of ice on the
road. Drivers must exercise great caution in driving on
roads which are wet, slippery or icy.

Cigarette Lighter
To use the cigarette lighter, press it in. After it finishes
heating up, it automatically pops out ready for use.
Do not hold the cigarette lighter pressed in.
If the engine is not running, the ignition key must be in the
ºACCº position to use the lighter.
Use a Lexus genuine cigarette lighter or equivalent for
replacement.
Ashtray
To use the ashtray, open the cover.
When finished with your cigarette, thoroughly extinguish it in
the ashtray to prevent other cigarette butts from catching fire.
After using the ashtray, close the ashtray cover completely.
To remove the ashtray, open the ashtray cover and pull it out.
CAUTION
To reduce the chance of injury in case of an accident or
sudden stop while driving, always completely close the
ashtray after use.
