Basic function
Sub menu
Selecting the sub menu item switches the information displayed on the main display.
The displayed items differ according to the function.

Split-screen mode can display di fferent information side-by-side.
 When the split-screen is displayed, it is necessary to select the screen you

 To select a candidate that is not dis-
played, select , and then
select the desired predictive
replacement candidate.

Characters can be entered by hand
writing with an optional tool. For
details, contact any Lexus retailer or
Lexus authorized repairer, or any reli-
able repairer.
Write the characters to be entered.
Select the candidate character that
corresponds to the entered hand
written character.*
Select the candidate character that
is displayed to enter the next
desired character.
 Depending on the input screen and
conditions, the following operations
can be performed.
• Back space: Draw a straight line from
the bottom right to the bottom left.
• Space: Draw a line from the top left to
the bottom left and then continue to the
bottom right at a right angle.
• Line Break: Draw a line from the top
right to the bottom right and then con-
tinue to the bottom left at a right angle.

●To deselect the handwriting input range, press the touchpad of the Remote Touch
or sub function button.
The list screen may be displayed after
entering characters. When a list is dis-
played, use the appropriate screen
button to scroll through the list.

Basic function
Select this part to scroll the list by
operating the scroll bar.
To release scrolling the list, select
the scroll bar again.
Select to scroll the list.
●Matching items from the database are listed even if the entered address or name
is incomplete.
●The list will be displayed automatically if
the maximum number of characters is entered or matching items can be dis-played on a single list screen.
●The number of matching items is shown on the right side of the screen. If the num-
ber of matching items is more than 999, the system displays “***” on the screen.
The list can be scrolled by flick opera-
tion when the cursor is over the top or
bottom part of the list.
Displayed list items can be sorted.

3 Select “Search”.
4 The sorted list is displayed.
●When text is input, a candidate list of
items to search for is displayed on the side screen.

Linking multi-information
display and navigation sys-
tem
The following functions of the navi-
gation system are linked with the
multi-information display in the
instrument cluster:
 Navigation
 Audio
 Phone
etc.
These functions can be operated
using the meter control switches on
the steering wheel. For details,
refer to “OWNER’S MANUAL”.

■Registering from navigation sys-
tem
1 Turn the Bluetooth® connection
setting of your cellular phone on.
 This function is not available when
Bluetooth® connection setting of
your cellular phone is set to off.
2 Press the “MENU” button on the
Remote Touch.
3 Select “Setup”.
4 Select “Bluetooth*” on the sub
menu.
*: The Bluetooth® word mark and logos
are registered trademarks owned by
Bluetooth SIG, Inc.
 When there is no registered device,
operations up to this point can also
be performed by pressing the
switch on the steering wheel.
5 Depending on situation, different
screen is displayed.
 If there is a registered device, select
“Add new device”.
 If there is no registered device,
select “Yes”.
6 When this screen is displayed,
search for the device name dis-
played on the screen of your
Bluetooth® device.
 For details about operating the
Bluetooth® device, see the manual
that comes with it.
 Depending on the type of
Bluetooth® phone or portable
device, if you do not enable the dis-
play of certain screens, your device
may not be displayed on the device
list. Refer to the instruction manual
Registering/Connecting
Bluetooth® device
To use the hands-free system, it is
necessary to register a Bluetooth®
phone with the system.
Once the phone has been regis-
tered, it is possible to use the hands-
free system.
This operation cannot be per-
formed while driving.

7 Register the Bluetooth® device
using your Bluetooth® device.
 A PIN code is not required for SSP
(Secure Simple Pairing) compatible
Bluetooth® devices. Depending on
the type of Bluetooth® device being
connected, a message confirming
registration may be displayed on the
Bluetooth® device’s screen.
Respond and operate the
Bluetooth® device according to the
confirmation message.
8 Check that the following screen is
displayed, indicating pairing was
successful.
 The system is connecting to the reg-
istered device.
 At this stage, the Bluetooth® func-
tions are not yet available.
9 Check that “Connected” is dis-
played and registration is complete.
 If an error message is displayed, fol-
low the guidance on the screen to
try again.
●If a cellular phone does not operate prop-
erly after being connected, turn the cellu- lar phone off and on and then connect it again.
■Registering from phone
When registering from the navigation
system is failed, or the phone name
doesn’t appear on the registering
screen, you need to connect the
Bluetooth® phone manually.
1 Press the “MENU” button on the
Remote Touch.
2 Select “Setup”.
3 Select “Bluetooth*” on the sub
menu.

Bluetooth SIG, Inc.
4 Select “Yes” to register the new
phone.
5 Press the button on the Remote
Touch to select “If you cannot find…”
on the bottom of the screen.
