2Slightly loosen the wheel nuts (one
turn).
3 Turn the tire jack portion by
hand until the notch of the jack is in
contact with the jack point.
The jack point guides are located under the rocker panel. They indicate the jack
point positions.
4 Raise the vehicle until the tire is
slightly raised off the ground.
5 Remove all the wheel nuts and the
tire.
When resting the tire on the ground, place
the tire so that the wheel design faces up to avoid scratching the wheel surface.
1 Remove any dirt or foreign matter
from the wheel contact surface.

WARNING
■Replacing a tire
Do not touch the disc wheels or the area around the brakes immediately after the vehicle has been driven.
After the vehicle has been driven the disc wheels and the area around the brakes will be extremely hot. Touching these
areas with hands, feet or other body parts while changing a tire, etc. may result in burns.

■After a fuse is replaced
●When installing the lid, make sure that the tab is installed securely.
●If the lights do not turn on even after the fuse has been replaced, a bulb may need replacement. ( P.355)
●If the replaced fuse blows again, have the
vehicle inspected by any authorized Lexus retailer or Lexus authorized repairer, or any reliable repairer.
■If there is an overload in a circuit
The fuses are designed to blow, protecting the wiring harness from damage.
■When replacing light bulbs
Lexus recommends that you use genuine Lexus products designed for this vehicle.
Because certain bulbs are connected to cir- cuits designed to prevent overload, non-genuine parts or parts not designed for this
vehicle may be unusable.

■To prevent system breakdowns and vehicle fire
Observe the following precautions. Failure to do so may cause damage to
the vehicle, and possibly a fire or injury.

●Never use a fuse of a higher amperage rating than that indicated, or use any
other object in place of a fuse.
●Always use a genuine Lexus fuse or equivalent.Never replace a fuse with a wire, even
as a temporary fix.

The lights other than the rear fog light each
consist of a number of LEDs. If any of the LEDs burn out, take your vehicle to any authorized Lexus retailer or Lexus autho-
rized repairer, or any reliable repairer to have the light replaced.
■Condensation build-up on the inside of
the lens
Temporary condensation build-up on the
inside of the headlight lens does not indi- cate a malfunction. Contact any authorized Lexus retailer or Lexus authorized repairer,
or any reliable repairer for more informa- tion in the following situations:
●Large drops of water have built up on the inside of the lens.
●Water has built up inside the headlight.

You may replace the following bulbs
by yourself. Before replacing,
check the wattage of the light bulb
to be replaced. As there is a danger
that components may be damaged,
we recommend that replacement is

■Rear fog light
1 Disconnect the connector.
2 Turn the bulb base counterclock-
wise.
3 Remove the light bulb.
4 Install a new light bulb then install
the bulb base to the light unit by
inserting it and turning the bulb
base clockwise.
5 Reconnect the connector.
After reconnecting the connector, turn on the rear fog light to visually check that
there is no light leaking from the bulb base.
Replacing light bulb
WARNING
■Replacing light bulb
●Turn off the light. Do not attempt to replace the bulb immediately after turning off the light.
The bulb become very hot and may cause burns.
●Do not touch the glass portion of the light bulb with bare hands. When it is
unavoidable to hold the glass portion, use and hold with a clean dry cloth to avoid getting moisture and oils on the
bulb. Also, if the bulb is scratched or dropped, it may blow out or crack.

7-1.Essential information
Press the switch to flash all of the turn
signal lights.
To turn them off, press the switch once
again.
■Emergency flashers
LC500: If the emergency flashers are used
for a long time while the engine is not run- ning, the 12-volt battery may discharge.
LC500h: If the emergency flashers are used for a long time while the hybrid system is not operating (while the “READY” indica-
tor is not illuminated), the 12-volt battery may discharge.
1 Steadily step on the brake pedal
with both feet and firmly depress it.
Do not pump the brake pedal repeatedly
as this will increase the effort required to slow the vehicle.
2 Shift the shift position to N.
If the shift position is shifted to N
3 After slowing down, stop the vehi-
cle in a safe place by the road.
4 Stop the engine <hybrid system>.
If the shift position cannot be shifted
to N
3 Keep depressing the brake pedal
with both feet to reduce vehicle
speed as much as possible.
4 To stop the engine <hybrid system>,
press and hold the engine switch
<power switch> for 2 consecutive

If a warning light turns on or a warning buzzer sounds
Calmly perform the following actions if any of the warning lights comes on or
flashes. If a light comes on or flashes, but then goes off, this does not necessar-
ily indicate a malfunction in the system. However, if this continues to occur,
have the vehicle inspected by any auth orized Lexus retailer or Lexus autho-
rized repairer, or any reliable repairer.

 The brake fluid level is low; or
 The brake system is malfunctioning
This light also comes on when the park ing brake is not released. If the light

Lexus retailer or Lexus authorized repairer, or any reliable repairer.
Continuing to drive the vehicle may be dangerous.
