Do not inhale fuelvapor.

Keep doors and windowsclosed duringtherefueling process.
Ifyou orother people come into contact withfuel, observethefollowing:
Immediatelyrinse fuel offyour skin withsoap andwater.
If fuel comes into contact withyoureyes, immediatelyrinsethemthor‐oughly with cleanwater.Seek medicalattention immediately.
Ifyou swallow fuel, seek medical atten‐tion immediately.Do not inducevomit‐ing.
Change immediately out of clothingthathas come into contact withfuel.

NOTEDamagecausedbythe wrong fuel
Even small amounts ofthe wrong fuel couldresult in damagetothe fuel system,theengine andthe emission control system.
Onlyrefuel with low-sulfur unleadedfuel.
This fuel may contain upto10%ethanolbyvolume.Yourvehicle is suitablefor use withE10 fuel.
Neverrefuel with one ofthefollowing fuels:
RDiesel
RGasoline with morethan10%ethanolbyvolume, e.g. E15, E85, E100
RGasoline with morethan 3% methanolbyvolume, e.g. M15, M30, M85, M100
RGasoline with additives containing metal
Ifyou haveaccidentallyrefueled withthewrong fuel:
Do not switchonthe ignition.
Consult aqualified specialistworkshop.
Iftheavailable fuel is not sufficiently low in sul‐fur,this can produce unpleasant odors.
Onlyrefuel with fuelthat has at leastthe octanenumber specified inthe instruction label inthefuelfillerflap (→page154).
Ifyouwant maximum engine output:onlyrefuel with unleaded premium gradegasolinewith an octane number of at least91AKI/95RON.
As atemporary measure, iftherecommendedfuel is notavailable,you may alsorefuel withunleadedregulargasoline with at least87AKI/91RON. This mayreduce engine performanceand increase fuel consumption.
Neverrefuel usinggasoline with aneven lowerRON.

NOTEPrematurewear causedbyunlea‐dedregulargasoline
Unleadedregulargasoline can causetheenginetowear morequickly and impair lon‐gevity and performance.
If unleaded premium gradegasoline isunavailable andyou havetorefuel usingunleadedregulargasoline:
Onlyfillthe fueltanktohalf full withunleadedregulargasoline andrefill assoon as possible with unleaded pre‐miumgradegasoline.
Do not drive atthe maximum speed.
Avoid sudden acceleration and enginespeedsover 3,000rpm.

NOTEDamagefrom use of unsuitableadditives
Even small amounts ofthe wrong additivemay leadtomalfunctions occurring.
Only add cleaning additivesrecommen‐dedbyMercedes-Benztothe fuel.
Mercedes-Benzrecommendsthatyou use fuelbrandsthat haveadditives.
In some countries,the fuelavailable may nothavesufficient additives.Residue could build upinthe fuel injection system as aresult. Inthiscase, in consultation with an authorizedMercedes-Benz Center,the fuel may be mixedwiththe cleaning additiverecommendedbyMercedes-Benz. Be suretoobservethe notesand mixingratios specified onthe container.

Notes on brakefluid

\nWARNINGRisk of an accident duetovapor pocketsforming inthe brake sys‐tem
The brakefluid constantly absorbs moisturefromthe air. This lowersthe boiling point ofthe brakefluid. Ifthe boiling point istoo low,vapor pockets mayforminthe brake systemwhenthe brakes are applied hard.
This causesthe braking effecttobeimpaired.
Havethe brakefluidrenewed atthespecified intervals.
Havethe brakefluidregularlyreplaced at aqualified specialistworkshop.Only use brakefluid approvedbyMercedes-BenzaccordingtoMB-Freigabe or MB-Approval 331.0.

If antifreeze comes into contact withhotcomponent parts inthe engine compart‐ment, it may ignite.
Allowthe enginetocool down beforeadding antifreeze.
Makesurethat no antifreeze spills outnexttothefiller opening.
Thoroughly clean off any antifreezefrom component parts beforestartingthevehicle.

NOTEOverheating at high outsidetem‐peratures
If an inappropriate coolant is used,theengine cooling system is not sufficiently pro‐tected againstoverheating and corrosion athigh outsidetemperatures.
Always use coolant approvedbyMercedes-Benz.
Observethe instructions intheMercedes-Benz Specificationsfor Oper‐ating Fluids310.1.
Havethe coolantregularlyreplaced at aqualifiedspecialistworkshop.
The proportion of corrosion inhibitor/antifreezeconcentrate inthe engine cooling system shouldbe:
Ra minimum of 50% (antifreeze protectiondowntoapproximately -35 °F (-37 °C))
Ra maximum of 55% (antifreeze protectiondownto-49 °F (-45 °C))

Notes on windshieldwasher fluid

\nWARNING‑ Risk offireand injury fromwindshieldwasher concentrate
Windshieldwasher concentrate is highlyflammable. It could ignite if it comes intocontact withhot engine component parts ortheexhaust system.
Make surethat no windshieldwasherconcentrate spills out nexttothefilleropening.
NOTEDamagetotheexterior lightingduetounsuitable windshieldwasherfluid
Unsuitable windshieldwasherfluid may dam‐agethe plastic surface oftheexterior light‐ing.
Only use windshieldwasherfluid whichis also suitablefor use on plastic surfa‐ces, e.g. MB SummerFit or MBWinter‐Fit.
NOTEBlocked spraynozzles causedbymixing windshieldwasherfluids
Do not mix MB SummerFit and MBWin‐terFit withother windshieldwasherflu‐ids.
Do not use distilled or de-ionizedwater asthefilllevel sensor may be triggered erroneously.
