R The high-voltage battery is not charge d su1-
cient ly.

le ve l of the high-voltage battery may be reduced,
ev en if thech arging cable connector is connec-
te d.

R The vehicle is equipped with a purely elect ric
drive system and de velops considerably lo wer
ve hicle noise emissions than vehicles with a
combustion engine.
It is forth is reason that theve hicle is equip-
ped with a sound generator, which ser ves as
an acoustic vehicle warning system (A VAS).
R The sound generator generates speed-depend-
ent vehicle noise emissions when driving
fo rw ard or backing up at a speed of up to
around 30 km/h.
This helps other road users, particular ly
pedest rians and cyclists, tohear your vehicle

th e high-voltage on-board electrical sys-
tem
The vehicle's high- voltage on-board electrical
system is under high voltage. If you modify
component parts in theve hicle's high- voltage
on-board electrical system or touch damaged
component parts, you may be electrocuted. In
addition, modi/ed and/or damaged compo-
nents may cause a /re. Driving and parking

When driving with a loaded roof luggage rack or
trailer as well as with a fully laden or fully occu-
pied vehicle, theve hicle's driving and steering

R Do not exceed the permissible roof load and

data in the printed Owner's Manual.
R Evenly distribute thero of load, and place
heavy objects at the bottom. Also comply with

Wa ter which has entered theve hicle can damage
th e drive system, electrics and transmission.
Obser vethefo llowing if you must drive thro ugh
wa ter:
R The water,when calm, may only reach the
lo we r edge of theve hicle body.
R Drive at walking pace at most; water can oth-
erwise enter theve hicle interior.
R Vehicles tr avelling in front, or oncoming vehi-
cles, can create waves which may exceed the
maximum permissible dep thofthewa ter.
The braking e.ect of the brakes is reduced aTer
fo rd ing. Brake carefully while paying attention to
th e tra1c conditions until braking po wer has been
