The Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) regulates the
brake pressure in critical driving situations:
= During braking, e.g. at full brake application
or insufficient tire traction, the wheels are prevented from locking.
= Vehicle steerability while braking is ensured.
If ABS intervenes when braking, you will feel a
pulsing in the brake pedal. The pulsating brake
pedal can be an indication of hazardous road
conditions and can serve as a reminder to take extra care while driving.
