Fording depth

In the following cases water can penetrate into
the engine compartment and vehicle interior:

exceeded when driving through standing
water.
= When driving through the water a bow
wave forms.
= Water accumulates when driving through
running water.
Do not exceed the maximum permissible
fording depth and drive slowly through the water.
The speciNed value indicates the maximum per-
missible fording depth for:
= vehicles that are ready to drive
= slow driving through standing water
Driving through Oowing water reduces the permis-
sible fording depth due to the accumulation of water.

Introduction
Notes about display messagesDisplay messages appear on the instrument dis- play.
Display messages with graphic symbols are sim-
pliNed in the Operator\bs Manual and may diMer
from the symbols on the instrument display. The instrument display shows high-priority display
messages in red. Certain display messages are
accompanied by a warning tone.
Please act in accordance with the display mes-
sages and follow the additional notes in the Oper-
ator\bs Manual.
For some display messages, symbols will also be
shown:
