adjusting the seats
When you adjust a seat, you may trap yourself
or a vehicle occupant. #
When adjusting a seat, make sure that
no one has any body parts in the sweep
of the seat. &

seat backrest are not engaged
The seat and seat backrest can fold forw ards. There is a
risk of thefo llowing, in particular:
R The vehicle occupant may be pressed
against the seat belt. The seat belt cannot
pr otect as intended and could cause addi-
tional injur y.
R Ach ild restraint system will no longer be
prope rly suppor ted or positioned and will
no longer ful/l its function as intended.
R The seat backrest will not be able restrain
objects or goods in the load compartment.
Alw ays ensu rethat the seat and seat backrest
are engaged, in particular:
R Before persons tr avel in theve hicle while
sitting on a seat with the easy entry and
ex itfeature
R ATer the seat has been adjusted.
R ATer the easy entry and exitfeature has

th eir seat belts fastened co rrectly and are sitting
proper ly.Pa rticular attention must be paid tochil-
dren.
If yo u no longer requ ire thefo lded-down rear seat
backrest as a load area, fold the backrest back
into place.
Make sure that there d marking of the lock veri/-
cation indicator is no lon ger visible. Otherwise,
th e seat backrest will not be loc ked.

tion display on the inst rument clus ter.
